  1. Keep the Jets in the East and the Wings in the West. That way when your child fails geography they'll have an excellent excuse. It's the NHL's fault!
  2. Phoenix is in the West, Winnipeg is in the West. Nothing changes. You might have to re-structure the divisions though. It wouldn't make much sense to have Dallas and Winnipeg in the pacific division....
  3. I'm not sure what to think. People seem to have this idea that if Phoenix loses tonight we will get the Winnipeg Jets back. That's not necessarily true at all. Of course the Canadian media is pimping this idea beyond belief. Jets are good for ratings and newspapers. Who the heck would buy a paper with the headline "Coyotes are staying!"? I'm just afraid they are setting us up for more disappointment.
  4. I also forgot to mention that Getzlaf is 14th despite missing 15 games this season due to injury. Had he been healthy he would have probably joined the top 10 with Perry and Selanne. So yeah....no thanks.
  5. I'd change the title of this thread to "Why I don't want to play Anaheim in the first round". 8 wins in their last 10 without their #1 goalie. Perry is looking like he could win the Rocket Richard and 40 year old Selanne is one point behind Zetterberg in points. Not to mention: Ryan Getzlaf (14th in pts) Bobby Ryan (22nd in pts) Lubomir Visnovsky (29th in pts) In total 5 of the top 30 point leaders in the NHL are Anaheim Ducks. I hope they keep winning and face Phoenix or something because this is not an opponent you want to face in the first round.
  6. Sure he sucked on the Leafs, but look what he did with the Ducks. Undefeated with a 0.00 GAA! There's a reason they didn't even let him play one game there.
  7. Kessel in the top 10...seriously? Burkie is that you? The guy is consistently inconsistent. He's third on the Leafs in scoring and he's tied with Brett Lebda at -19. All-Star? I don't think so!
  8. Sadly yes. What other explanation is there? Based on the way Phil Kessel has played this year he has no business being there.
  9. I'm not surprised. Kessel isn't even the best player on his team. Grabovski and MacArthur have been outplaying him pretty much all season long. Phil got in on name power alone.
  10. Both are at fault here. The coach shouldn't be saying s*** like that. The player shouldn't be suing him.
  11. If I were Nabby I would report to the Islanders and take a nap in the crease during my first game. Not even attempt to make a save, let in 7 goals on his first 8 shots as an Islander. Just to piss Garth Snow and Charles Wang off. Hopefully they'd get the hint and let him go. Free Tibet. Free Willy. Free Nabby!
  12. We accidentally broke into the Corel Centre in Ottawa a few years ago. I think it's the ScotiaBank place now or whatever. Some rich dude in a suit used his card to get in and he kept the door open for us. We practically got a free view of the entire facility. I went to the locker room and took a piss in the same place as Heatley, Alfie and Spezza. I hate each of them, but it's the thought that counts.
  13. LAPD is short for LAP Dance. Commit a crime in LA and you'll see what I mean.
  14. Good for Nabokov. He's a 35 year old goalie who has never won a cup, why the heck would he want to waste precious time with the New York Islanders? If a playoff bound team would have picked him up there is no doubt in my mind that he would have played for them, but to go from Wings to the Islanders is just ridiculous. It's like a pimp offering you a Jenny McCarthy lookalike and 48 hrs later he delivers Rosie O'Donnell. WTF!!!
  15. Thanks for the memories Nabby.
