    I'm not sure why these arenas have to be specifically "Little Caesars' Arena". Why can it not be some thing like "The Gordie Howe Arena" by Little Caesars' or something of that nature. You would think that kind of association would be great way for these sponsors to gain some more local respect and still get their name out.

    Also someone on 97.1 mentioned the new "District Detroit" be called District 9. I liked that.

    Not playing Mantha in favor of Andersson is playing not to lose, not playing to win. And we all know that when you play not to lose, you usually lose. Preventing goals is necessary and nice, but if you can score it makes it a risk worth taking.

    This to me sums up the Jeff Blashill era Red wings.

    Why exactly isn't Mantha playing?! I'm not talking about just for the Wings, get this kid back down if he's not beating out one of our other mismanaged prospects. Disappointing.

    I understand his defensive play is in question, but he has looked competent enough to me. Every player doesn't need to be Bob Gainey.

    Honestly though I don't mind these things. Yes they're overdone. People have just become so cynical though. It's an outdoor game, it's fun, you think the people at the games are complaining? The same people who complain about these are the same people who complain about all-star games. I get wanting to improve things, and the whole point of message boards is to *****, it's really the media too. I just try enjoy these events for what they are when they come around.

    4th outdoor game for the Wings.. Yet many other teams haven't had any... Anyone else think this will quickly lose it's novelty? What if they run out of outdoor jersey designs hahahaha

    So many unanswered questions :P

    Will Hasek suit up for an alumni game? Will Yzerman be back?

    I think they really need to get someone else who can play on a line with Dats and Z, if even for the very least to motivate Abdelkader. He’s pretty much being handed that position on a platter lately, and hasn’t done much to deserve it. Also I'm with those that say Nyqvist/Tatar have no chemistry together for whatever reason.

    I don't think Richards has been BAD. However, think he could produce more come playoff time, and don't really care if he is in the lineup at this point.

    I really feel like power forward takes the longest to develop out of any player besides maybe d-man. I agree with those who say he was brought up too early, but I feel like there is still a dynamo in there.
