Kinda hope they miss the playoffs. Maybe they would make some changes like getting rid of Holmstrom and stop over maturing their prospects.

10 - 2 Sharks. Wings will be scared about what happens to them every year in the playoffs and just give up in the first 6 minutes instead of waiting until the end of the 2nd period.

Hudler played forward on the PP unit against the Flyers and still managed to skate the puck towards the point and gave it away and a short handed goal ensued.. Hudler is NOT an answer on the PP. He should not be on the ice during the PP.

The only guys that matter that are out are Lids and Dats. The other 5 'starters' are replaceable and Eaves hasn't played in ages. Kindl was scratched half the time, Ericsson has been better but Quincy and Smith are both better IMO, Bert only plays when he feels like it and MacDonald kept the team in games with saves goalies shouldn't have to be making. They are really only down 2 guys that matter IMO. Everyone else that was / is hurt can be replaced or their replacement played close to their level (Howard's case). Either way the defensive lapses that occur and the turn overs are not being made by the guys that are replacements anyway. Its the bottom line, Kronwall, White, Hudler etc that are making the bone headed plays that end up being odd man rushes / 1v1 or guys not clearing the puck after Howard makes crazy saves like last night. So you are asking me to find a team that has one of the best D men EVER and arguably the best 2 way forward in the game out. Well Pittsburgh is the closest I can come and since March 1st when Letang got hurt they went 5-0 with Crosby still out. Just sayin.

I think people are getting pissy because other teams lose guys and keep rolling. This team loses a guy and falls apart and I think everyone has been pissed about the PP and its not injuries that are causing that problem.

Was it Smith the last 3 times? Or how about the 9 before that. Its absolutely ridiculous and its not guys like Smith for most part. Its Kronwall, Hudler, White etc. It happening to Smith is one thing but just having Hudler on the PP = a short handed goal like the one in Philly. I was embarrassed to be wearing a Wings jersey in that building when he did that. I even told the Flyers fan I was with if Hudler gets the puck on the PP anywhere near the point its probably a SH and it was. The entire thing needs to be fixed and quickly and Dats and Lids are not the answer. Oh and WTF is up with White. Since Lids has been out he has been pretty much terrible which scares the hell outta me about the future.

Yep and someone will go down in the playoffs and they will exit that round. A team built like that is a team built to lose when it matters. A team does not give up 4 SHGs in 6 games because Dats and Lids are missing. A team does not forget how to play defense because Lids is hurt. There are bigger problems with this team than injuries.

You are correct I did go change it because you all took it wrong and raged at me about it. It shouldn't have been an argument in the first place but you forum nazis are out in full force.

As I said. I assume Z would lose the fight as he has been in ONE fight in his career. So therefore he would get his ass kicked. Not sure what is so difficult about this. It does not even matter if he wins or loses as long as he leads. Sure he puts out more effort than the other players but they are not responding to that. So maybe Z fighting will get them to do something besides suck.

He led the league in game winning goals for a while. Not sure where he is on that list now. I agree though he needs to score when it matters when guys like Dats are out.
