likely an AHL vet / injury call up
-
Speaking of kicking tires... holland doing holland things this off season: Mike Smith extended 2 years, 4.4m Zach Hyman signed to a 7 year contract, 38.5m Tyson Barrie extended 3 years, 13m Cody Cici signed 4 years, 13m
-
And Mrazek signed in Toronto. They basically traded goalies
-
cap space, roster spot, all of the above haha.. yeah same. good bye, glendog millionaire. go win dallas a bunch of faceoffs.
-
Vegas also re-signed Martinez right, i agree. also, we likely won't need any extra cap space Suter indeed going to dallas
-
can bury the whole thing in GR if a prospect earns his spot.
-
Was hoping we'd get the pick to take him on. But I guess the LTIR contract is worth a lot more to them than most. If we got a pick or two with the last year of his deal for future considerations, and have the cap space, sure. If we're giving up anything at all, no.
-
Ah yes. The one that's "never leaving msu"
-
More term than expected for sure. He's coming for that Gretzky record.
-
Kane is still over a point per game player. And they should be getting Toews back this year. Seems to me they're just going for it since those two are approaching the downside of their careers. Likely also in an attempt to overlap Kane/Toews with Dach and their other young players/prospects.

Some RFAs that didn't get qualifying offers and are now set to hit UFA tomorrow, that could be of interest to the wings (per an athletic article): Pius Suter, 0.5ppg potential middle six center, CHI Nick Ritchie, big bodied LW, BOS Dominik Kahun, good offense/bad defense center, EDM Ondrej Kase, RH shot RW who has offensive upside but also has had concussion issues, BOS Ryan Donato, center with offensive upside but has bounced around the league a lot, SJ Of the five, Suter and Ritchie are the most interesting to me. Kase too, but the concussion issues are obviously scary. Given that these guys are all 25 years old, I imagine we'd at least check in with a few of them.

"I don't know, Mike Milbury isn't all bad..." -Rick DiPietro, probably
-
Agreed. If the NMC was the sticking point, I'm okay with it. Really just sounds like he doesn't want to get pushed to GR.. can't blame him there. He might still accept a trade at the deadline to a contender, we'll see.
-
Because Virtanen is under the age of 26, he is subject to a one-third buyout instead.
-
Wow. That's amazing. I'm so stoked on this draft!
-
Hell yeah!! Love the pick
-
I'd take it, don't get me wrong. I just feel like we won't pick there (unless we get some lotto luck) with how the roster is shaping up.
-
I think I'd like Johnson, Edvinsson, or Clarke at that point. But I guess if that's the way the top five goes, I wouldn't hate Wallstedt at 6. Definitely prefer a center though, if one is available that makes sense at 6.. hopefully it's the last time we're picking in the top ten for a long while.
-
Is there anyone here who still wants Wallstedt at 6 after the Nedelkjovic trade?
-
Fyu-ture Vaa-zee-nah winn-er
-
Only if we get a mantha type return. Otherwise Stevie probly holds onto him
-
We gave up the third. But still, an amazing trade. Never would've thought he'd be available at all. So stoked on this one!

Kind of what I'm wondering too. Maybe he wanted too much money? Not sure what their cap situation is like. But can't imagine they have a ton of space
