Mike Richard's Contract Terminated (Not Bought Out)
number9 replied to P. Marlowe's topic in General
He's probably going to plea out (I'm American so correct me if I'm wrong) The problem with the clause you're referring to is, from what I've heard, it's veryyyyyy vague. So it's going to be up to the judge to set precedent. Will be interesting. -
I must not be able to read my bad. Makes more sense now.
-
Wow I guess I didn't much about skydiving. I didn't realize u blackout. I've only blacked out (not talking about alcohol) once, and it was scary as F
-
I actually do really like Shane despite some of the dirt he's dished out. Being loyal to that franchise takes character
-
Na that's Lucic
-
You two and your teammates have obviously never witnessed the awesome epicness that is a Seals game.
-
Still can't believe we allowed Jan Mursak to get poached by the KHL. DAMN YOU FRANZEN!! *shakes fist at sky*
-
We're gonna lose Emmerton and Andersson because of that piece of ****???? Nooooooooo
-
I like my cars black, and my sticks and skates white
-
Lol the expectations people have of Franzen are unreal. He's a wuss cause he doesn't play dirty/hit a lot/fight!!!!! Guess who also doesn't do those things? 90% of the Red Wings roster. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are wusses too then I guess right? I mean why do Tatar and Nyquist get a pass? They're both wussys. Franzen's got a few inches and pounds on those guys and therefore must be held to a high physicality standard, that seems to not apply at all to most of our other players.
-
It'll play out just like the lockouts. We will whine and moan, they'll do it anyway, and we'll all watch anyway.
-
U ignored the first question. Defense maybe. Forwards have been pretty set. Still doesn't explain ur desire to remove Howard pre mrazek based on ur logic about average goalies
-
Yeah, but now ur arguing that priority should be building a better roster so that an average goalie can excel. Why then ur clamoring to ditch Howard over the years? Shouldn't you have been clamoring for better skaters...?
-
So let me get this straight, all the "we'll never win with Howard, he's not good enough" (before Mrazek emerged) was code for "he is good enough, what really need is better skaters" Is that what you're saying?
-
ME I just don't know how you can blame Howard for not being good enough all year, then argue that average goaltenders are good enough lol
-
The only team winning with average goalies is the Hawks. Banking on having that level of a roster is more than a long shot Wait, so u moaned about Howard not being good enough all year and now you're saying it's the skaters fault?
-
? Montreal and NY are no slouches when it comes to their skaters. And Look at the Kings and Bruins. Both had phenomenal goaltending during their runs Goalie is the only player on the ice the full 60 minutes. Fact is theirs a reason teams build from the net out.
-
Sorry, but no one's winning cups with backups. Great goalies are almost never traded these days because of how valuable they are. They pretty much never hit FA either. And they're still plenty of teams without legit goaltending and they almost exclusively suck.
-
Really? Who's available? You'd think FA would be swimming with goalies and it wasn't.
-
....So the Blackhawks? Cause the last time I can remember a non #1 winning the cup was Niemi. Pretty much every team competing for the cup has a legit #1. Let me expand to say, I'm not sure which of having a number one C or a number one D is better, however both are pointless if you don't have a #1 enforcer to keep the flies off them.

Abdelkader entering contract year, possible $4M extension?
number9 replied to Vladinator16's topic in General
I don't really agree with all the Helm and Abdelkader comparisons. A lot of people are acting like we have to choose between the two and I don't think that's necessarily the case. They've always been kinda tied together since they came up together though so it's natural. It's looking like it was Babcocks goal, and probably Blashills goal as well based on what Khan said, that Helm be turned into a winger. If that's the case then suddenly there's more room to guess who's expendable at forward. I think the Wings will probably cut ties with Andersson, Miller, or a kid way before they ship out Helm. -
signed Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)
number9 replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
What does Helms sons brothers uncle dads sisters dog catcher have to do with predicting Mike Green wins a Norris and retires here? -
Why wouldn't he want Luke's RHed shot on the RW? This guy is worse than Babcock
