Just replied -- just busy this weekend! I sent you an invite for the Buy-In league. Officially both of the Keeper League teams (this thread) are still available. Each GM that takes over a team gets to pick 6 players from that roster to keep -- the rest will be draft-eligible for the Live Draft on the 30th. (This is the case for all teams in the league -- some good players to be had!)

No one needs to be in person -- all drafts are conducted online via Yahoo.

Yeah, but I trusted that you wouldn't abandon your team. That's the biggest driver behind "don't miss the draft!".

gcom007 -- There's a lot more that needs to be done. I'm looking to update the template as some of the incremental updates of the forum software have made the interface less than ideal... and I've gotta get Tatar off that header image .

Hey guys -- apologies for the issues. I was out of town when the forums went down earlier this week (part of a faulty security update that didn't completely finish) and didn't even realize it until someone reached out to me via the Facebook page. Where were you sitting? I've heard the upper bowl is a bit tighter. I was in the lower and thought the seats were great. (I'm about 6'3".) The legroom was deeper than what I recall from the Joe, and the seat padding.... that was awesome. Pillows.

I gotta say -- when you're in the arena the goalhorn sounded just fine to me. Very loud. Not sure how to explain why it is on the tv feed other than maybe that because the horn is digitized and going through the speakers that the tv broadcast is capable of muting the in-stadium audio feed a bit so it doesn't overpower the talking heads? Pure spitballing. But it definitely IS loud in the arena.

To add: There was a software update last week that I performed and it seemed like the spammers showed up following that. Another update was released today which I just finished installing -- hopefully that takes care of it. If not, we'll be vigilant.

I currently have TWO spots that are available in the league. I have two GMs that have yet to lock in their positions and have been unresponsive (so far) to confirming their status. What a weird feeling. Never had to NOT put the playoff wins counter up there. Earlier on this season I was on the "fire Blashill, trade everyone" train... I'm still on it. Time to break everything down and build it back up. I'd rather deal with a few down years for a proper rebuild with the right people in the front office than continue with half-measures as everything wilts.

Posting threads for 'smaller items' is better than having no items at all. I wouldn't worry about it. Your feeling that you are 'cluttering up the forum' is the exact feeling I want to eliminate. People should feel free to post. If it gets crazy then I'll have to address it, but I really (really) don't see that being a problem.

I'm well aware of that, but when the 1st page of the main discussion forum has topics on it that haven't seen a post in a week there's certainly room to break the discussions out. If it becomes a problem in the future then I'll address it then, but it certainly isn't one now.

No need for mega threads as catch-alls. The forum isn't useful (and discourages new visitors from registering and commenting) if there's a half-dozen threads total with any regular activity. I'm putting a moratorium on the mega-threads.

First things first: I have to say, never once did I think that when I started this site back in September of 1996 that it would still be going strong 20 years later. It's truly unbelievable and I'm so thankful that thousands of you have made these forums your home and community of friends over all of these years. 20 Years. Wow... hard to believe that number! Welcome to version 4.0 of the LetsGoWings.com Forums! This is the largest update to the forums since v3.0 was launched back in 2010, and by far the most extensive. The site now features a completely responsive design and should run far faster than the previous rendition and includes many bells and whistles that weren't available on the previous version. Unfortunately it took a bit longer for this upgrade to happen (and, truth be told, the server is still running background processes to update an absolutely massive database), but I hope you feel it was worth the wait! As with any upgrade of this magnitude there's going to be some tinkering going on (some things may look odd or out of place). Don't fret! There'll be some periodic updates as the last wrinkles are ironed out with this release. Feel free to PM me through the forums here if you find a bug, have a problem, etc.. Thank you and LGRW!
