I think so too. I don't think the Wings will give a player with no North-American experience 2nd or 3rd line minutes right out of the gate. -
Yeah, he was ranked in the top 30 earlier this year, and if we can grab him at 49, that could be a good steal. I'm told that the Caps are going to pick an offensive-defenceman with their 11th-overall pick.

Alright, that sounds good. I've dug around for some news this morning! Stephane Leroux of RDS reports that it is likely that the Habs take Finnish forward Teuvo Teravainen as their first-round selection. Oilers' GM Steve Tambellini said yesterday in a press conference that he will NOT trade away the first-overall draft pick, but he will not say who he will chose.

It will be a 1-year, 2-way contract from the looks of it. -

Ryan is the most realistic. I doubt Howson will trade with a division rival, and I don't want to take on the risk of Staal not re-signing here after one year. I don't like doing proposals but something like: Franzen, Abdelkader, Kindl for Ryan, 3rd rounder?

J. Staal, Douglas Murray, and Rick Nash all on the market, and teams are taking offers. Harding in negotiations with Minny, expected to sign there. PK Subban included in deal to get Oiler's first overall, but doubt EDM will do it.
