:(I will honestly be amazed if the Wings make it out of the first round with the way they are playing defense. This whole year has been uncharacteristic with the turnovers and # of shots given up.

There have been teams loaded with stars that have underacheived just as there have been teams of no names have overacheived. Why? It all comes down to playing as a team. A superstar will not win playing alone.

I've lurked on this board for a couple years and I want to thank the experts here for the lessons I have learned. I haven't played hockey for 35 years but by reading the ongoing critiques of the Wings play I realize now just how much I didn't know when I played.
