I just graduated from NMU and interned with hockey team. Sadly my intern years were two years ago and I don't really go to a lot of games so I cannot offer much on this subject but I am curious as well. Gonna ask a buddy who is a huge hockey fan here.

I am dying to see Pavs setting up Tatar. Throw Filps in there and you have two guys who can set plays up. I just have a man crush on Tatar and see him being a good scorer for us in time.

I am with you. It isn't the proper time. I just get excited thinking about the possibility. The line would be missing a bigger guy though. Sad part is once those two guys are in the lineup every game Dats will probably be gone.

Am I the only one who wants to see him on a line with Pavel and Tatar? Abby and Cleary aren't the right combo. Not saying Nyquist and Tatar would be at this point but it would be a cool trial period at the very least. Typical of the Wings though to let a player sit in the AHL after fans think he is ready to hit the big leagues.

The obvious inquries to Getzlaf and Perry. I have always liked Semin but he has those attitude issues. If he would come cheap though I would consider it. I too would kick tires on Clowe and Horty. As far as defense goes I would like to keep White if price is right. Whitney intrigues me as well if he comes a bit cheaper.

We are a .500 team with six or seven injuries..I keep trying not to get excited about us being healthy knowing were still missing pieces..

I don't start threads here ever and I don't post as regularly as I probably should but I have played organized hockey since I was just a little boy..With some damn good players as well. Logged many hours of puck...but after waiting a couple months to make sure this wasn't a snap decision...This might be my favorite goal ever... That is damn near impossible. Unbelievable. Pavs is my hero. Well one of em anyway..So many great wings to choose from over the years.

He is a damn good hockey player but I don't think anyone dislikes him as much as I do. Respect him, but dislike him.

I wore 13 for few years while I played after Pavel..Then when 13 wasn't available in high school, I switched to 5. He is just amazing. I just remember at the end of the regular season, playing chicago, Pavs took the puck from the corner, skated up tot he top of zone while protecting the puck with one arm from two guys, then cut into the slot and went through FOUR guys without losing the puck. Then you seen plays like that over and over in these playoffs. It was capped off with that incredible backhander snipe last night. I have said to my buddies since the playoffs started that he definitely needs to be in the discussion as one of top few players in the NHL and he proved that with his performance in these players.

I feel like im about to lace em up tonight. Just as nervous as I used to get in big games anyway. Thinking a fifth of Seagrams VO and some Coke will help calm my nerves. Got my Red Wings polo and Red Wings New Era cap on today at the golf course to show some support. Lets do it fellas.
