  1. Off topic, but this is incredibly uninformed. First of all, the deal passed the state senate and was never a long shot to get done. Second, the NBA, not the owners, set a deadline of 2017 for the Bucks to have an arena in place before the owners even bought the team. If a deal wasn't done, the NBA would forcibly buy the team back from the new owners.
  2. I think people are making it out to be worse than it actually was. Vicious hit, but there didn't seem to be a dirty malicious intent behind it. The Czech player was in the worst possible position and Abdelkader was already committed to the hit. A split second reaction on a hit like that is tough. If the player had braced himself a bit more, I don't think you'd see him pop up in the air like that. In hockey, it's natural to follow through upwards on a hit, so once contact is made, the energy of the player giving the hit is naturally going to escape in an upwards motion. To make matters worse, the player that got hit had a weak center of gravity on his right foot because he was following through with a shot, which made the hit more vicious and caused Abdelkader to essentially bounce right off him without taking much of the impact from the hit. It's kind of like a car going 80 hitting a car going 20... their energy has to go somewhere.
  3. What does it take to get a power play goal? This series would be over if we were just average.
  4. I can't believe the no call for the high stick on Smith on their third goal, the horrible puck drop on that first goal, and the penalty shot. Those three events were baffling and directly affected the game.
  5. Toews or however the hell you spell it should have gotten thrown out of the dot on the faceoff where they scored. Absolute joke of a puck drop. Toews starts with his stick on the ice, Hank swats twice, his stick ends up on the ice and Toews in the air for a clean win that sets up the goal. I don't understand why the ref waited that long and dropped that puck when the away teams stick was in the air.
  6. Can someone explain why if Eaves would have enclosed his hand on the puck during the pk it would have been a penalty? Is that an actual rule?
  7. Cleary is that point guard who dishes it out to the perimeter when he has an open layup.
  8. Yeah pretty much all hockey on the radio is hard to follow. Sometimes you never know that play has stopped or you miss it's a par play is going on until it's almost over... Unfortunately driving for another 3 hours and streaming on my phone
  9. Radio hockey is the worst. From what I hear, the wings dominated until the Ducks first penalty and then kind of faded. Good to be up a goal, but it's not at all comfortable.
  10. Isn't that good though? We're supposed to lose to get better draft picks.
  11. Hank, go buy Howie a steak after the game.
  12. gdt

Brunner, it doesn't get much easier than that.
