That's the good thing about being a Wings fan in an away arena. We usually have enough supporters at the games so people have your back.

I got 10 bucks on during the National Anthem.

Looking at our upcoming schedule I just don't see how this team is going to come out of this month in a playoff position. Chicago, twice against Toronto, Montreal, Columbus, Pittsburgh, 2 against Minny, and Tampa. We have to win 6 of those games to stay in the hunt and I just don't think we have the players to do it against good teams.

Maybe with Alfies age they dont want him getting second line minutes. -
I'm glad it shows cap hit loss. I bet no one has had injuries to their top 6 forwards like we have this season. It seems that injuries have been getting worse for the wings for about 4 years straight now.

Does anyone know how many games lost to injury we have this season or where we rank in the league? I gotta imagine we are number one in that category.

I think Jurco has a lot of talent but I see him more as a 3rd liner. Teemu has the scoring ability to be a top 6 forward. Of course this is speculation and my opinion after seeing both Jurco and Teemu play in GR -

I have higher hopes for Teemu than I do for Jurco so I'm excited to see what this kid can do. I'm guessing he will replace Jurco on the kid line -

Why is everyone so low on Weiss? He was hurt since training camp and wasn't 100% when he did play this season. At least give the guy a chance to show us what he can do. People act like he is a piece of trash off the streets. -

I'm as angry about the trade as the next guy but something I didn't consider is Legwand really hasn't played with any superstar type players so he could rejuvenate his career playing with franzen, Z, or Datsyuk when they are healthy. -

After watching the interview with Ken Holland that Fox Sports Detroit did today about the trade and Datsyuk's injury, the craziest thing to me is I truly believe Kenny thinks we have a chance to make the playoffs with out Datsyuk and Zetterberg. I'm all for optimism but that seems like a huge stretch for me. -

I can't really chime in with anything else that hasn't been said yet so far. The real winner today is Patrick Eaves getting a chance to be a regular somewhere. Good for him at least. As for Holland, it's sad that we can't boast that we have the best GM in the league anymore. The CBA has exposed him big time. In the NFL you can apparently trade picks for coaches...think we can send a 1st rounder and trade for a GM...like Stevie Y? -

The sooner we realize Holland isn't going to make a trade the more painless it will be. Holland won't overpay for someone at the deadline and instead wait till July 1st to sign someone for free. Then after realizing no one will sign here, he will resign Bertuzzi and Quincey. Lol -

Agreed but we have never had Datsyuk and Z out so much in a season like this.
