It's funny reading all the people that are now hating on this signing after they were begging Holland to sign him for a week now. -
I agree how many players negotiate with their team and go to free agency and then end up signing with there original team. It does not happen often of ever.

Here is a better prediction. Holland buys a rocking chair and falls asleep till July 10th. Wakes up and frantically signs Filpulla to a 6 million dollar deal after Fil gets no bites in free agency. -

At this point I'm going to assume Kenny is going to do nothing. Players don't want to come here like they used to and Kenny won't open the wallet up for anyone so here is to another possibly disappointing summer. -

You guys don't realize that a healthy helm and bertuzzi are our "free agent" pick ups. Duh! We like our team. -
They can scrutinize all they want but no one knows what is going to happen with the future of these kids. We might sit back five years from now and celebrate this draft. Holland know there are roles we need filled moving to the Eastern Conference and maybe Bertuzzi was the number one guy they thought could fill the role of agitator. You can't win a championship by just trying to draft only superstars.

Grading a teams draft is total B.S. I'm sure people thought we were crazy for taking a small forward from Russia and a small forward from Sweden in the late rounds and I think turned out pretty well. If Mantha becomes a star and any other pick even makes the team I'm happy.

Although I agree he prolly could have been taken later, there is a reason he was picked when he was and you got a trust a team that IMO has the best scouts in the league.

I guess that means Bert is gone. I think it was part of the collective bargaining agreement that you can only have 1 bertuzzi per franchise.
