There was nothing wrong with the hit on Eriksson. Why would orpik need to fight Thornton? If he wanted to fight anyone for a cheap shot it's Neal.

Just getting Malkin wouldn't guarantee anything and if he leaves, say we give up the ton of prospects we have we are in a worse of situation than before we had him.
