  1. Oates is working as a "skills" coach, with individual players such as Stamkos, Parise and Purcell to name a few. After leaving NJ, he opened his own business and has individual clients where he watches their game shifts and advises them on individual aspects of their game. In the off season he meets with them and works on the ice with many of his clients. He was hired by the wings for a three day period to, like Blash said, Pick his brain. I believe this is the first time he has worked with any one team in any capacity since leaving NJ. Should be a good opportunity for Blash and the coaching staff to learn some things.
  2. Here is an article I remember reading last month talking about Lazarev,Svechnikov, and Pierre Luc Dubois. "Lazarev, who is undrafted but did attend Chicago’s camp this year, was a force picking up a hat trick and adding a helper, Dubois tallied four points (a goal and three assists) while Svechnikov added a goal and a helper." <div id="4624212253001" "class="brightcove-video-containing-block" style="box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(1, 1, 1); font-family: ff-din-web, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 32px;">
  3. Is it Lazarev you are talking about? I was wondering about him too, but believe he is draft eligible
  4. Detroit Red Wings ‏@DetroitRedWings 7m7 minutes ago #RedWings lines at practice: Larkin-Z-Abby Richie-Pav-Helm Tatar-Sheahan-Nyquist Andersson-Glendening-Jurco D pairings: 55-25 65-52 2-47 Only caught bits and pieces of the Nashville game. How did Jurco and Andersson look? Enough to get a call up and one of them in the press box?

  6. Upper bowl, dead center, as close as you can get to row 1 and an aisle seat.
  7. Completely agree. It's been a short sample size of course and he could always regress when teams start game planning around their line. Interesting note here..... Ansar Khan ‏@AnsarKhanMLive 21s22 seconds ago Tempers flared in practice as Pulkkinen went after Smith and had to be restrained by teammates.
  8. I thought AA has been exceptional with his defensive responsibilities. That doesn't worry me a bit. I agree on the second line point you made, but I am excited to see what that line can do together. If nothing else, they will be flying around out there.

  11. Kenny figures this will be Yzermans problem in a few years.
  12. Cool article I found from 2012 on AA Says he is a leafs fan, but more a fan of players. Mention Datsyuk and Bure. Also touches on his rrelationship with Hunter. Didn't sound negative, but then again I would not expect it to. Interesting note, he was projected a top 10 pick then his stats fell off and like PVD above me stated he was traded and that's where he really took off.
  13. The Wheel Deal ‏@Bill_Roose 2m2 minutes ago The #RedWings are off today. Will be back at it tomorrow preparing for three games in four days starting with the Sharks on Friday at JLA. A well deserved day off. Should have more about AA future, Ferrao injury and Dastyuk availability at practice tomorrow

Pretty sick of seeing Jurco scratched in favor of Andersson. I can't imagine what he is doing so wrong to not pop into the lineup.

Seems like every game the team is getting more comfortable with Blashill's systems. You can really see the difference where early on there seemed to be a little hesitance in adapting from what was the norm for so long. Now we just need the system and the players to generate more shots and greasy goals. If they can do that, the sky is the limit here. 4-2 Wings Tats,Z,Green and Larkin Ovi X2 (sort of what to see him break the record)
