It is the inconsistency this guy has shown: A certain d-bag can run around headhunting, cutting players and gets the benefit of the doubt and then all of of a sudden you have two big hits and boom each players gets 2 games. Howard is what he is, I have been saying that all year he is a good goalie not elite but good. Even Henrik Lundquist wouldn't help right now, the Wings need to be better on the defensive part of the game and score more goals otherwhise good fight good night.

I simple refuse to think that Holland would be content with this team going forward, no matter what happens in the playoffs. Changes are needed, bring in new faces Clarkson would be good hint, add an enforcer and bring in a number 1 defenseman, if the Blues can not come to terms with Pietrangelo ore are trying to penny pinch offersheet the guy! Yandle is a good second pairing guy but I don't trust him as a solid number 1. I also think a guy like Phaneuf could help a lot not sure he likes the 24/7 media-attention known as Toronto. On a positive side I am very impressed with our young core, getting these guys has been a masterful job by Holland and company.

I am cheering hard for the Isles and Ottawa in the east, both have lots of very likable players on their roster and are working their butts off.

I love the way Pasha celebrates, he can make opponents absolutely look like beer-league players but never ever does the showboat. I HATE the way guys like Ovechkin, Yakupov, Kadri, Dupuis and Kane are celebrating, stay classy guys!

Oh well one more time one of the better rivalries in the league, both teams hate each other and there will be a lot of Wings fans at the Ducks centre so they may experience something very rare, a sellout *g*

Getting this Wings edition into the playoffs without needing help from other teams, is just outstanding I don't think Babcock will win, because MacLean has done an unbelievable job with the Senators but it should be close.

The NHL and PA took 30 games from me, so this season no matter how it ends can be described as garbage. What Babcock did with this roster is amazing, I really love what I have seen from Tatar, Nyquist, Brunner, Smith and Dekeyser these should be some solid future Red Wings. Although I don't agree with any of the offseason signings (wanted Scott instead of Tootoo or Prust! but Gustavsson was a great move sadly he had to battle the injury line again ). That said I'd take the 2002, 1996, 2007-8 and even the embarassing 08-09 season over this one easily.

Win and you are in it is as simple as that.
