I've never said he had a good start and I fully acknowledge his poor games but at the end of the day the guy is elite and there aren't many better defenders in the league. Weber benefited from playing with Suter too there is a reason, why these two were considered the best pairing in the world. Minnesottas defense is Suter + X at some point it will be Brodin but right now he is just learning what it is like to play in the NHL. I j ust don't understand the hate against Suter he hasn't done anything wrong, if someone would offer me such a crazy contract you can be sure I'd be signing it, yes he decided against the Wings it happens I won't hold against him, period.

Give me Suter 100 out of 100 times over Quincey, Suter is elite why can't people just be happy for him? He didn't owe the Wings anything Suter decided to play for the Wild so be it.

I don't like his attitude and soon the over the top celebrations are going to piss of some people or his own teammates. Watched some other videos from him and it looks like he is doing this over the top stuff everytime he scores. If it just sometimes or after a big goal, I would be fine but I think he has to tune it down.

Can we please decline a powerplay till this team has figured it out? Its like everybody forgot how to play powerplay without Nick.

Well if we are out of it by mid february I am sure we are going to see way more from the young guns, thats the only positive about a rebuild: seeing young players develop into future NHLers and maybe even (super)stars.

Although their product is overhyped, overpriced and not as good as it once (pre 2005) was and yet they are continuing to charge premium fees for punching people in the face, every X years and yet some fans are gladfully coming back giving them money again...

They can say whatever they want, it is still a bunch of crap, if you don't know how to split 3,3 BILLION $ something is really really wrong and btw. we will have another one in 7 years. I will not spend a dime on merchandise or anything NHL related for at least another year.

Weber could do the things he did, because of Suter. SW admitted such facts by himself. Suter is not the offensive puckmover he is a defensive minded defender and an elite one at that, points aren't everything. Can you trust him to stabilize your defense? For sure is he worth 7,5 m caphit? I think so. Lets see how Weber will be doing without him.

Problem wih that: the refs didn't give him anything for it so even they thought it was a clean hit. I don't expect the players to change and I don't expect the league turning into a non contact league. Dirty and dangerous hits should be punished no question but not hits like this one, give him 2 m inutes for charging and be done with it. Hitting just like fighting is part of the game you can't take that away another reason why I think a real hockeyguy running the show would be better, than some stupid lawyers and their puppets. Also Volchenkov is one beast of a defender this guy can easily absorb a hit just look at him he got up and nothing happened. So maybe we agree to disagree here :-) The video itself called it charging and charging = 2 minutes according to the rulebook. So if the rulebook would have a line like "charging = 1 game suspension" it would have been fine with me. Scott Stevens exploded too just in a different manner and era. I also think the video ancle was a bit off would have prefered a zoom in to see if Schenn left his feet before exploding into Volchenkov.

My bad I should have typed charging at best, Schenn is a big body so controlling the point of contact isn't easy.
