Yeah it is still the only smartphone with a great keyboard :-)

I still couldn't care less it is just to soon since the last lockout. Also the BoG is a stupid gongshow, if this thing would be for real Mr. I, Dolan, Thompson, Acqelini and Tannenbaum should be in there, not some of Bettman's puppets. Whenever a deal will get done I expect 2 things: Fix the BoG regime FIRE the anti hockey man Sent from my BlackBerry

I really miss the days, of having useful, well thought out news on an actual homepage instead of this twitter crap. Guys like MacKenzie, LeBrun and Dreger should stick to using tsn.ca instead of shortmessage-system aka twitter. As long as nothing has been made official, I will remain skeptical.

Disney Buys Star Wars, 3 New Films Coming
frankgrimes replied to MabusIncarnate's topic in Water Cooler
I can see Micky as. The new Emperor and Goofy trying to be the next Luke. Disney is a horrible greedy mega company I hate them. Sent from my BlackBerry -
Always thought Lemieux would be the Pens owner. Good thing if both sides are frustrated, hardline idiots like Jacobs can go to hell for all I care. Always respected Burkle I think he and Chipman - why not Thompson - are going to do a good job! Sent from my BlackBerry

Stupid are those, who are doing stupid things so yes, having the owners assume the players are stupid or children to feels like the king of all stupid things. They are the PRODUCT, either respect them with a fair offer or sell to somone who will.

Well maybe it is because I haven't been able to see the Wings live, because I am from overseas but I think JLA carrries a lot of history. On the other side if Mr. I is building a state of the art arena you can bet he will even put the beautiful Console Center to shame :-)

That guy took the art of effectively screening a goalie to the very next level. A great piece of the whole puzzle and a warrior for over 1.000 games. Very glad to have seen him play, way to go Holmström! Sent from my BlackBerry

Arent there any anti monopolistic laws in Canada? According to some sites Rogers & Bell are turning more and more into a whole canadian monopolstatus..
-
Yeah seriously I am just waiting for the usual "there is enough time to get a deal done left" someone better tell both parties that even the biggest and hockey craziest markets have abandoned the NHL for the time being.
-
I loled so hard at that teletubby dress

It'd be a win win scenario. Leafs having inhouse competition would mean their management has to get their act together and ice a winner no matter $, another Canadian team will increase the revenue a lot - e.g. Winnipeg - but MLSE will never ever allow that to happen

The BOG ors hould I say midgets ******* can go eff off. I hope the league will never recover from that and we'll see the rise of a new one, without a workstoppage every 5 years. This time there are no superstars in the making, no big games to be played...fans and sponsors are pissed. I highly doubt the NHL knows what they are doing. This freaking lockout is also not for the better of the game, if the great game of hockey would really coun't, there would have been a lot of different moves. Midget will need tons of bodyguards whenever hockey is back thats for sure.
-
This lockout to me at least is just bogus. Players offered to continue under the old CBA till a new one is finalized, league declined add to that the shameful lowball starting offer, I don't even have to think about whom to side with. I watch the players not a bunch of havanna smoking CEO types, who aren't in this business to win it but to make a quick buck. I am glad the best owner in all of sports is against RS and all that crap just shows us how lucky we as Red Wings fans can be, to have such an outstanding person running the show. Let's not forget this is an owners - BOG? - lockout. Yes, the money has to go to someone but I'd rather see it going to the guys who are giving their all each and every night, risking injuries and are working their asses off just to entertain us, instead of a bunch of "we are losing money" guys who at the same time are buying secondary mansions worth 20 m$.

They are the 1 % best hockeyplayers worldwide so for sure they are going to want a rfair deal and not an insulting one presented by a guy, who has absolutely no atlethic or negotiating skills and is the exact opposite of everything, hockey should be. If the NHL wants the players to give up money, they have to at least honor their contract rights simple as that.
-
Any tips for someone trying to get into Baseball? I did read and printed the rules so I am okayish I guess from that side, but watching games is really boring. You have minutes of virtually nothing happening at all, so is it better to just watch the last innings or maybe focus on some "star players" like Pr. Fielder?

Loved the F1 back in the 90s early 2000s but I hated all the changes under Don Ecclestonleone and his puppet Mosley. I believe the F1 is more about the things around it than the actual sport itself which I heavily despise.
-
I hate to bring in other sports but look at the MLB, european soccer or some other non cap leagues they are all doing extremely well without work stoppages every 5 years. The NHL will always ask and try different things in order to help very questionable markets, the truth of the matter is there are always going to be huge differences in terms of fanbase, revenue and the amount of $ a team can charge for tickets. I mean, after all this league has 30 teams and each team should be responsible for themselves. Decertification would also lead to finally seeing Bettman canned, without draf t, CBA, rights and whatsoever there really is no need for a commissioner and yes without the NHLPA Fehr would be gone too. Owners would then compete with money, rights and nice clauses for the top players and even decent ones would get very good jobs, sure some teams would relocate or fold but thats part of the business.
-
Personally I'd love it, it would mean once again 30 own businesses instead of a roof holding NHL and finally very very very very nice UFA and draft days again. For us as Red Wings fans the best owner in hockey would be finally able to throw around his wealth again, or does anyone think we would be bystanders watching other teams getting the best players? Don't kid yourself if the owners are getting their will this time, they are going to ask for 60/40 and more ludacrist contract restrictions the next time, so if they want to play hardball I am happy that the players are going to do so to. I thinkk as Red Wings Fans we would really really benefit from that :-)

Bolland did not say that, he just re-tweeted it (is that even a word?) so I guess he saw a "tweet" used something we call "forward option" in emails. So basically he just forwarded it, I really don't see why people are jumping at him? I really think people should stop reading more into comments than they really are, when a fan is saying "I want Bettman dead" it basically means he wants him gone from hockey and not murdered or anything like that. Sometimes an easy approach is just the better one.
-
Always loved Bolland, what a great guy. Players are rightfully fed up with this little man destroying their and our game, wish he would go back to destroy Basketball. Someday a captain will take the cup from him and throw it at him. Bettman needs the go the sooner the better, otherwise this lockout will go on forever.
-
The only good thing coming out of this whole fiasco will be seeing how the most overpaid, undersized Bettman will finally be getting the boot, because his failed franchises are going to have a hard time without the NHLPA, no RS and on top of that less sponsors job well done.... Original 6 + Canadian teams are going to be fine, I am sure teams like the Sabres with their new owner are going to be fine too, so there will be more than enough teams coming out of this. I always liked Miller, his comments are spot on.
-
Go do it, this should teach the undersized idiot and his stupid BOG not to eff around with Fehr and the NHLPA. We would be absolutely unstoppable in a free market, finally having worthwhile playoffs again. God I'd kill for a team like 2002.
-
Midget will make sure that the Oilers are getting the fourth overall in a row. Usually no season should mean all 30 teams are having an equal chance for the first overall, but well not in gary's world.

Well Marchand can act "tough'" because he knows guys like Boychuck, Chara, Shawn Thornton and Lucic are watching his back, he wouldn't do so otherhwise. Like I said I really love the signing of the Monster, Colaiacovo what a pain to spell is just a depth signing so whatever but Tootoo and Samuellson aren't bringing anything we need, which is goalscoring and toughness. Tootoo while decent in his own class is more an agitator that an enforcer I'd compare him to Burrows, Marchand and Avery. Top defenseman these days are very rare, if they don't want to wear the winged wheel it's sad but as a GM you need to have a plan B, C, D and maybe even F. Behind the GM behind a pc is an easy task but there are tons of reasons, why NHL GMs are making tons of money these guys are smart and know the business side of the job very very well. So if you ask me imho would have prefered to not sign Tootoo and Samuellson in order to give some young guns more icetime and let them grow into a bigger role with the big club. Prust for sure is overpaid but he brings it all, every night and can add something Tootoo doesn't provide.
