  2. Well I'm from the Duluth, MN area. None from my actual town but there was Sean Hill, Jamie Langenbrunner, Derek Plante, and Cade Fairchild. I actually played against Cade as a kid. Brett Hull actually lives in the area on a lake and golfs with my cousin if that counts
  3. I think it's both. They both want a % share that is unrealistic. Players want more than any other professional athletes are getting and the owners want them to take less than any other league. They all need to quit crying and split it 50-50. The players make the team but if there was no team these players would be doing something else. It works both ways.
  4. Does ESPN even know #5 retired? If I want hockey news/analysis, ESPN is the last place I go
  5. Here's a rumor that the Penguins have offered him a contract: I just can't imagine such a gritty hard working guy wanting to play with such a pansie b**ch
  6. rumor

I really hope this isn't true. I can't stand him. And not in the way where I hate him on other teams but like him on our team like Tootoo. Straight up just don't like this guy, especially for losing Flip who could be traded for a much better player like Bogozian or Yandle
  7. when i read that i got all excited then kept reading, for a second, i was happy. so cruel..
  8. Heatley is making $7.5M the next two seasons. He's turning 32 and has consistently declined in points since his first year with the Sharks. No way should he be getting a raise. Either way they'll have prospects they'll have to pay and pretty much screwed themselves out of signing any other quality players
  9. I'd love to have a player like this on the wings. Big guy that scores goals and doesn't take s*** from anyone in the league. Definitely would be exciting to see him on Pav's line!
  10. Depends on what the Wings would have to give up but that'd be great if it could happen!
  11. Suter is from Madison, WI which is like 3-4 hours away from the twin cities. I'm glad Parise didn't go to the Pens but I guess those two just hate the idea of ever winning a stanley cup
  12. I know it's Parise's hometown and just a few hours from Madison but I just don't see how that can out weigh being on a team that wins. I mean Parise played for UND so that shows he's not one of those MN homer freaks. Honestly though, as long as they don't go to the Pens I won't flip out.
  13. I saw that, not sure what else we would have to give up. But he hasn't really impressed me so I'd be okay with sending him
  14. Anyone got an idea what it would take to trade Anaheim for Ryan? If we could trade for him and sign Semin that'd be a pretty nice way to round out our top 6!
  15. the two Wild games I've traveled down for they announced the crowd was sold out. I saw plenty of empty seats especially in the top tier. Their fan base is annoying and think Minnesota gave hockey to the world and we bow down to them for it
