Hard to say. Does the "elite" defensemen/forward also come with an "elite" contract? If so, it doesn't really make sense. But if you take the money out of it, sure, I'd trade Jimmy for Stamkos. -
That would be such a slap in the face to the Devils ownership who spent so much time and energy overpaying for him.
