Boyle got beer dumped on him last night. https://www.instagram.com/p/BEU-QRBOR4T/ Well deserved. -
Blackhawks yes. Kings no. I'd love it if the Kings won it again simply because they would match the 3 cups Chicago got and they would have done it in less years. 3 cups in 5 years instead of Chicago's 3 cups in 6 years. Anything that will screw up Chicago's "we are the real Hockeytown" narrative is cool with me. LA kings are the only ones that can negate it this year. Too bad San Jose has to ruin all that.

If only Ericsson used all of his weight... Or if Kronwall actually Kronwalled him. Not like we really need Kronwall as much anymore with the way DK and Marchenko stepped up. He might as well go back to decimating players and risk suspension. Lol and I see what you did with the paralyzed comment.

Mrazek Interview - What were you thinking what you grabbed Smith in bear hug to keep him from retaliating on Coburn? “I try just to hold him a little bit just so he don’t bump him and get two minutes and it would be four or four. They would probably pull the goalie so I try to just hold him se we’d get the power play.” Mrazek knows his boy Smith too well. -
This. Except Ovie and Kopi. Me like Ovie and Kopi. Unless they're playing us.

Rules changed a few years ago. They no longer re-seed. Straight division bracket style now. Look at example below. Division final > Conference final > Cup final. -

They don't reseed its a standard bracket. Next up is either NYI or Panthers. -

They were reunited a few times this year but Nyquist was terrible in those times. -

So apparently Blashill told Abby not to drop the gloves in game 3. -
If Chicago gets knocked out first round that whole Andrew Ladd deal will look silly. They've been going "all in" with their draft picks for a while now.

yeah and most of his punches were all helmet hits so no doubt he hurt himself on those punches. Plus Abby made a statement after game 2 saying he doesn't expect more fights - probably sticking to his word. Not to mention the league really let him go for his "assault" in game 2. I'm sure he's just playing it smart as he knows how current day NHL is about these things. He'll drop em push comes to shove but no need for now. ----- In response to Mabus. - I think Wings can win the matchups battle. They can't let this series go to game 7. If they do it's over. Win the next game and win game 5 in tampa and I think game 6 is ours. Tampa literally only has one line unlike last year where we had to worry about Stamkos' line. Both game 1 and 3 we dominated Tampa. The issue has been finishing our plays and not crashing the net and cashing in on rebounds. But by no means has Tampa been a great team. On paper they should be much much better than us even without Stamkos. -

Abby should fight him when the time is right. If we're leading in the series going back to Detroit. Drop em. Only if absolutely needed obviously. -

Yeah Datsyuk gained like 15-20 pounds between his rookie year and 2006 I believe. Same for Hank. It did not seem to impede their speed either. -

True to a point but I thought Mrazek was better than February/March Mrazek. -

1. Smith was awesome 2. Mrazek was like Mrazek of old. 3. Blashill is smarter than we give him credit for. Those were some pretty good matchups 4. Zetterberg getting a goal is kind of important for his sake. 5. AA and Andersson had good chemistry... and I liked it -

So the whole idea of "shutdown" line worked very well from 2007-2013 when Zetterberg was the designated shutdown forward. (Against Getzlaf, Riberio, Crosby, Malkin, Toews, and many others) 1. Because he had the ability to shutdown opposing teams top line. 2. Because his possession was insane to where his line would create offense and score (a lot). Now I get the idea of Glendenning not being ideal for shutdown because: 1. While he can "shutdown" top line opposition.. 2. He has terrible possession and can't generate offense. Having said all that we don't really have much of a choice because: 1. We don't have a prime Zetterberg type shutdown forward (or a Toews, Koptiar, Bergeron etc etc etc) Not even Zetterberg himself is a Zetterberg. 2. Glendening is all we have in the shutdown role. We play with the cards we are dealt. Also to note - the famous "Grind line" was also a shutdown line. Screwed opponents over while scoring a decent amount. -
I'll say what I said when Cleary got demoted to grand rapids. And when Kindl was traded. See yea.

I feel as though Howard has declined quite a bit since his rookie year. He went from being a Calder runner up who played 60+ games a year to an inconsistent goalie being overshadowed by some kid with a Petr Griffin helmet when he entered the league. Time change so fast aye? -

No seriously. I think Mrazek should play. Our D is way too handicapped against Tampa. Question is how well Mrazek plays. No jk the question is will Blashill play him. -

and it was Mrazek too o.O ya'll are trippin me out now. That's incorrect. Howard allowed 7 goals in the first 2 games. Guess how many goals Mrazek allowed in the first 2 games?!?!!? That's right! 6 goals!! Such a huge difference man. It's like Howard is Manny Legace and Mrazek is Dominic Hasek. -

Yeah he did. And at times his puck handling was clutch but at other times led to goals. He was just inconsistent last year. He would have amazing games but then be a flop. Whereas Howard was an overall flop post all star break. Learning curve. He became super consistent this year up until his bday. Idk what happened after that... -

He was not "amazing" in the playoffs. We had a 3-2 series lead and he blew the 6th game in the series. We we literally up 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 in the series and Mrazek failed to clinch the series last year. And I'm pretty sure he got pulled in one of the games. People are overrating Mrazek too much. I think we're getting confused about his Vezina like performance from this year and assuming he was amazing last year. He was not amazing last year he was very inconsistent. Which is fine because he was also a rookie. Having said all that - it's not like Howard would have been better in the playoffs last year. On the opposite, it was very smart of Babcock to go with Mrazek because Howard was a disaster 2nd half of last year. And moving forward it would likely be a good idea to try Mrazek in game 3. Better now than in game 4. The way Tampa has been playing (and the way our defense has sucked) we need a third defenseman against the Tampa offense.
