    GREAT sign, bye bye FIl, Cleary, and Sammy... be nice to see us get brunner back, although I don't know where he'd fit... Why would we want Miller back? Honestly would have taken Brunner over him in a heartbeat. So now my question is where does Miller, Eaves, Emmerton fit into this mess? I mean, I'd take Nyquist, Andersson, and Tatar over any of those three.

    Hey guys! Going to the game tonight and my girlfriend and I were gonna make a couple posters for the game. Any ideas? Would love to write anything, but I don't feel like walking back to my car for saying something "offensive" (even if it's probably true haha), so preferable that I won't have to toss the poster away.

    I'd love to put a picture of Kronwall leveling Havlat and saying something like, "there's a reason Havlat went to the Sharks" or something like that. Or maybe that's just lame, idk.

    Love Kronner but I still don't fully agree with the Vladdy comparison. It just doesn't fit in my eyes.

    I think it's the way they deceive their victim into believing they're backing off, been then swooping around and catching them at the right moment.

    Seriously? I mean, I knew there would be a few people on here that would be telling him that he needs to go, but I can't believe how many people I do see. The guy has helped build a Stanley Cup WINNING team 4 times in the past 16 years. Simple math, 25% in the past 16 years of ALL teams in the NHL, were the wings winning the cup. Not to mention, we've been contenders year after year boosting 100+ points in a season. We've made the playoffs 21 years in a row. Longer than some people on this forum have been alive probably. I DO realize that these past few years we've been on the decline, not living up to what we've seen. I honestly don't think we need to start getting rid of this guy until we REALLY see some devastating situations (ex: miss the playoffs, then struggle the following year). We are going to have a lot of cap space this off-season, the new CBA kicking in (aka teams like s***tsburgh struggling to keep all their "talent"), PLENTY of talented UFA's, and have a plethora of prospects to trade (not to mention a very talented draft year coming up).

    Things are "bad" now compared to the past 20 years, but this team is still in the race to get to the playoffs (despite us being in a "rebuilding year"). After that it's fair game, cups aren't handed out, they're earned.



    Yeah who was that guy? Ya know the guy that built a cup winning team in Long Island and then in detroit :P Its sad that some ppl dont remember past 1998.....Bandwogoners........gotta love em ;)

    Also ppl need to quit bitching about what holland did or didnt do. The mans one of the best gms of all time : 6 Presidents trophies(no other team has more than 2 ;) ) 21 straight playoff app. 7 WCF appearences, 6 SCF 4 Cup wins, ... Seriously what more can you ask for out of a gm. COuld be worse, remember when we were the dead wings?(poor mickey :( ) Be thankfull that you have a team that has been competative. PPl need to quit being so damned spoiled.

    Obviously he doesnt want to trade the farm away for 1 player. Not in the cap era. PPl have to remember that most of these guys are still young. I feel we have a very good core of young players. Lashoff to me has been the biggest surprise, Kinda reminds me of Nick abit with the way he plays. Nothing flashy just smart descisions. We most teams go through a "rebuilding" stage they are garbage.(Look at calgary and buffalo) But sometimes our fanbase reminds me of lakers nation a little bit. You cant dominate for years and years with out having to rebuild at some point. (not to get off topic) Look at Kobe, The closest thing to MJ, Hes getting older. PLAYERS GET OLDER. Cant stop the inevitable

    Hmmmm let's see.... The day Gordie signed with the Wings, the first game the Production Line was put together, the day the Ilitch family bought the team, the day Devellano was hired, the day Yzerman, Lidstrom, Fedorov, Zetterberg, or Datsyuk were drafted, the hiring of Scotty, the Shanny trade, the Russian Five on the ice for the first time, the Turtle Incident, the Cup win on home ice in 97, Vladdy on the ice with the Cup in 98, the 02 Cup with all the future hall of famers, the Cup win in 08 when all the haters said the Wings couldn't win under a salary cap? None of these are greater? Really? Really? Use hyperbole much?

    Can anyone help me out?! I'm stuck at work today until 6. I don't have a DVR, a mobile data plan, and my work computer doesn't have adobe flash. Thanks to NBC (YET AGAIN!!!!! "**$&*%&") I can't watch a replay like I normally could when FSD broadcasts. Please PLEASE help me out! Is there a live stream today by any chance online (some streams don't require adobe)? Or perhaps will that stupid NBC livestream app possibly have a full game replay so I can watch later? I haven't seen them play the Hawks yet this year (thanks to guess who?!?!) so if anyone has some info as to how I can watch this game, it'd be MUCH appreciated. GO WINGS!

    Hoping that I can find some info soon as to IF/when I could POSSIBLY purchase winter classic tix for 2014. Honestly, well aware this is going to be near impossible, and it will probably cost an arm and a leg. If that's the case, consider me one lucky bankrupt, peg legged SOB.

    If anyone knows of any info in the upcoming months, pleeeeaaasse make a post on this thread.

    I went to pinckney. He went under the name Bobby Stevenson. He went to pinckney during the 02-03 year. He was in my science class. I actually helped him spy on his girlfriend LOL. If you did graduate in 08 then you technically weren't in school with him, but what you mention is accurate. A lot of people gave him s*** but at the same time he acted like a bit of a prick.

    Yeah I personally didn't know the kid, just knew the douches the used to rip on him. I wouldn't blame Ryan for being a prick, those guys that used to rip on him were complete D-bags. Hahaha that's funny you helped him spy on his gf, I need to find a yearbook now and do some creepin'.

    Then I need to ask you, would someone not go play in a town JUST because a few losers ripped on him in the past? I'd honestly like to think not, I mean, seeing as business is business. Besides, when your raking in multi-millions I would assume those little grudges just dissolve into your pile of cash.

    He has to clear it with Bettman that he is allowed to sign with a team which is not the Pittsburgh Penguins. This could take awhile. Gary has to call Sid first and make sure it's ok that Danny sign with a different team.

    *If Cindy and Pierre aren't in the middle of one of their butt lick sessions, then I think Gary could get the ok. Cindy would at least be in a good mood at that point.

    Thanks man! Yeah I saw that website, and I wondered how legit it was, looked pretty deece. Have you personally got anything or seen any of their jerseys in person?

    I might be able to squeeze into a small, but we'll see. I'll probably just go to a sporting good placed and try on some smalls and see if that's anything I could squeeze into.

    Cups aren't given out, they're earned. History proves that the road to the cup is a long and subjective one. They are not guaranteed to win anything, I mean, NO KIDDING they are all in. IF they even were to win the cup this year, good luck keeping all that talent when the new CBA kicks in.

    Is it time for Filppula to go? I honestly say no, I think he is a great two way player, plays hard on his shifts, and can make a play. Do I think he's the best player for the wings to trade (out of all our players without a no trade clause)? Yes, he is. Zetty, Helm, Franzen, and Filps are the only player that are possible to trade with value. Zetty, I mean, that's not happening. Same goes for Helm. Franzen (although I really wish we could trade him) unfortunately is signed until 2020 (dear god). So that obviously didn't pan out the way it was foreseen I honestly don't think anyone would pick up his contract, there's absolutely no way. So besides prospects and picks, Filp is just about the most valued player we have to trade away. That being said, the wings aren't going to be making blockbuster moves to attempt to get a Stanley Cup run going. For now, I'd say, let's just keep this playoff streak alive by adding a decent front 6 man, trade up a couple prospects and a lower round pick. Next summer there is a plethera of UFA's, that SHOULD be our Christmas.

    What do you mean waivers? Is he not waiver exempt? Also I wonder when we get to the playoffs and the max roster rule is gone if we will see a very different lineup then we are today.

    Like i said, that's what I could have sworn I heard before in a pre-game show of red wings live. I honestly have mo idea if he's exempt or not, personally I have no clue why'd he'd be someone that another team could just ******, so maybe I'm crazy XD Think about it though, why would we send him down to the minors? He had a great debut, strong presence, disciplined, heads up hockey, playmaker... Its a waste leaving him in the minors, s I assume my crazy idea that he was sent down so he wouldn't be claimed is at least plausible.

    And please tell me why Tatar ir rotting in the minors?? This team needs more top 6 talent

    From what I remember they sent him down there so someone wouldn't claim him on waivers, thats what i heard. If thats true, I wonder how long it would be until we can safely call him back up, I think he's a great talent.

    I know this is a tall order, but I really want a CCM Yzerman jersey. I personally hate the reebok ones, and want the classic 90's style. I know I can check ebay and craigslist (believe me I have). But besides crappy knock off Chinese websites, where can I find one? If anyone knows any info on how I can find one PLEASE let me know! Personal message me if you do, thanks a bunch.
