  1. Agree completely that there is a TON that could be said about this subject. If I might add my opinion on the matter - Its related our defensive prowess rather the lack there of. I give total props to Smith for flipping his coin and coming back from the +/- deficit he was in (he is now a -4) However, I cannot say the same for Quincy. The guy just needs to sit the bench and feel the effects of a Sproul,Oulette or Almquist taking his spot for a night or two or forever... Now I can't blame all the Red Wings issues directly on Quincy but I can say that he is a VERY irresponsible defense man and does not make good decisions with the puck that lead to turnovers or goals. This team needs to break out of the slump they are in and start finding ways to keep the lead. The Third period GAA is terrible. The game last night was totally given to the panthers and should not have gone the way it did. I will judge this team very harshly after the trade deadline. That will be the team that goes to the Playoffs and they will see much more criticism from me at that point.

Red Wings deserved to lose in my opinion. Like I said before it was 3-1 Wings... They blew it. Hopefully they learn from it.

When I started watching it was 3-1 Wings and now its in the 3rd and its 5-3 Flyers. The only thing that changed was the Flyers coach talking to Refs. I really don't know what happened to the wings. Didnt see the first period but 2 goals ahead to being behind 2 - something had to happen.

I just want to point out that 90% of the replies on the 1st page of this thread are complete doom and gloom. It was actually comical going back and reading the posts.

Yea that was pretty bad on Quincey's part. He should have been worrying about his man instead of turning to watch the puck go in...
  6. GDT

the puck didn't bounce over his stick, it was spinning and he just flat out missed it. Then he skates to try and get it and trips... ugh...... #facepalm Quincy... Kyle Quincy ...
  7. Same here. But I have to say I don't think it will happen with Weiss and Franzen. I hope it does but I dont think it will. Think about it: Weiss: New, needs to learn the lingo. Alfredsson: New, needs to learn the lingo Franzen: Well its Franzen... Playing with somebody like Pav or Z to learn the lingo. They might get it faster. Franzen-Datsyuk-Abdelkader Zetterberg-Weiss-Alfredsson Keep Alfie and Weiss together because I think its them that need to gel the most. Z and Pav play so well together though, it is a trade off to get the guys acclimated faster.
  8. I like this thread. So many different views on Tootoo. Personally I think if worked on his fore-checking ability (which it seems so far he has). He could be a good player to go to the hard areas and cause turnovers / mistakes for the other team. He is a player that doesn't always do what you expect him to do, which is something wings were missing before they signed him. I agree that he is not an enforcer and wont "Protect" our skill players like an enforcer does. Whatever happens he is still fun to watch.

Was at this game - This could be due to the fact that he had a nasty collision behind the net with Kyle Quincy. Sent Gus into a wicked spin. CHECK THE OTHER GUYS QUINCY!
  10. That might be true unfortunately but you can't deny he had a good game last night, way better than anything we saw last season from him.
  11. To that point - I really don't want to see Tootoo go. Based on his play in the game against Boston he can be a contributor offensively.
  12. So much Potential!

Wish this was televised.. Would have really liked to see those hits!

Man these announcers are terrible. They only give play by plays when the Blackhawks have the puck. Its like they have AD HD or something, when the wings have it they loose interest..
