I think Jurco's issue is that he's going to try to do too much on that line, because he wants to stay up there. Ironically, if he just plays a simple game, there's a much better chance he'll work himself into a top-six (more likely top-nine) role. His skill will take over if he keeps it simple.

My guess is the team will look much better tonight. I doubt they'll start strong, but I see them taking over in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Here's an interesting tidbit I just ran across in a Khan article about Nestrasil...
"[Nestrasil] would have been buried further down the depth chart once Pavel Datsyuk and Weiss return from injuries and after the club promotes top prospect Anthony Mantha, which it will likely do if he produces in the AHL the next few weeks."
The bolded part is interesting because until very recently Khan had repeatedly taken the stance that as a result of his injury (and lost training camp), it would be unlikely that Mantha would crack Detroit's roster this season. This sounds almost definitive. As in, someone told Khan (off the record) that he'll be promoted if he plays well out of the game. Usually Khan's good about acknowledging when he's speculating. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

Ha! I wasn't sure if there was a big demand for these anymore. It is getting a bit harder to produce them in a wide variety of screen resolutions, so if I go ahead with them I may trim them down.

Its a long season, we wont know if Weiss is a real bust or not until the end of this season, barring any more injuries.

I reallllly dont think theyre going to trade Jurco. Hes going to be a big part of our core in the future imo. Big, fast, has hands, plays hard down low, defensibly responsible. I think Jurcos gonna be very complete and Marian Hossa-esque one day.

Jensen should most definitely make the opening roster over kindl. If "tie goes to the best player" that should be a no brainer. Kindl just gets worse and worse and Jensen has been one of our best dmen thus far. He has the puck moving ability, sound defense, and RH point shot we need so desperately. I see Callahan's sandpaper replacing Andersson and Jensen replacing Kindl. Atleast i hope so...
