No, it doesn´t work. This logic is cascaded on national levels as well, as derblaueClaus mentioned above. Every single national soccer league is working the same - you´ve got like 2-3 teams who are in the mix (and that´s the good scenario), the rest is just to have schedule filled.
What´s the league about, where 80% of teams would like to play safety mid.

Juklitz reacted to Buppy in Red Wings Sign Slovak G Patrik Rybar to Entry Level Contract
It isn't true. The Wings did not sign a player to an NHL contract, pay a $92,500 signing bonus plus $70,000 minor league salary, and bring him over from Europe just to f*** with the guy and not play him. Machovsky is an idiot. Probably why he didn't get more games. As has already been said, the Wings want to have 5 goalies, plus one usually on a minor league deal for Toledo. That's exactly what they did last year. The guy ******* about it and now we're actually going to entertain the idea that it was a mistake to not sign someone s***tier than McCollum to give this diva less competition.
So he had to start in Toledo. Cry less and work more. That's what Coreau did and a few years later he was starting the Centennial Classic. He could possibly be our backup next season. Several NHL goalies spent time in the ECHL. Jonathan Quick spent most of his first pro year in the ECHL, but instead of crying and going home, he stuck it out then won a couple Stanley Cups. Machovsky will never sniff the NHL. He's the last person Rybar should be taking advice from.

As I´ve already mentioned, he was top 3 goalie of czech Extraliga last year in cup contender team, had excellent numbers. BUT in the other hand, Wings has terrible record recently with czecho-slovakian players. But I believe he´s way better choice than Avs made with Pavel Francouz.

Mrazek is not what concerns majority of Flyers fan right now. That Haks is able to bench Ghost in OT. He´s playing usually Lehtera istead of Patrick on PP (and he put him on PP against NYI and guess what?), organisation does prefer Hagg over Sanheim.

Hereby quite honest "interesting interview" with current GR Machovsky..
Not even sure if you are interested in translation, but... ok, let´s try.
    - "I was told I´m not going to make AHL, while goalies there are well paid there. I didn´t really expect this is NHL organization but what could you do..."
    - "I was signing the contract with idea of fighting for AHL starter spot. Ok, I´ve said, I have nothing to lost. Then they signed another goalie. They probably felt pity of him that nobody want him or what."
    - Interview was done prior to Mrazek trade. "I will finish the season here. I don´t have intention to continue in US next yeat"
    - "Yes, AHL is sort of motivation for me. I believe I´m doing my best."
    - "I will stay if they will pay me. Otherwise I´m leaving, .. I believe I´m good enough to don´t play somewhere in some ECHL"
...funny part about his overseas experience.
    - If you ask some citizen here about the city, they will mention just where some fast foods are. Not really surprised about their obesity. You switch on the tv and you´ve got like nine minutes of fast food and coke commercials mostly within ten minutes . Or medicines or army. Kind of brainwashing online. Keep track with Kardashians etc., I don´t really get that..."
    - "Green brains. Got army all around the world and paying tribute for every single soldier guarding some beach somewhere."
    - But he´s also positive. "People are more friendly here. Better than in CZ. Really trying to help you." He does enjoy GR as very nice city with good cousine etc.
    - About his fight  "I´ve been always dreaming about this. Pity that guy was just blocking me, probably understood that wouldn´t be good for him. "

I said before that Marchenko reminded me a lot of Ericsson, and man did he ever. Both drafted in the last round of their draft. Both inexplicably overhyped by Wings fans when they first entered the league. Big, stay at home defensemen that weren't particularly good at anything, other than taking up space on the ice, aka, getting in the way.
Imagine if Marchenko had the opportunity to play with Lidstrom... We'd have both Ericsson and Marchenko locked up long term at a combined $10M... I'd prefer to imagine if Ericsson never had the opportunity to play with Lidstrom... Big E would probably be over in Sweden for the past several years, the same way Marchenko left for Russia...

Yes, I can imagine it´s tough to understand, even local people mostly don´t understand.
Short story is - these people lived in Europe (they came from India for many reasons, mostly descendants of Dalits  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalit ) for centuries, mostly practicing their original habits, means - living without permanent home, moving with their trailers, keeping their languages, ignoring education, politics, everything. These vere true european nomads with their unique culture style, language etc. It was quite ilegal, but this was the way they´ve been living for centuries.
It was basically legal to kill gipsy like 150 yrs ago in Slovakia or Hungary..
Aprox in 50´s, commies started with social engineering, prohibited nomading and put these people in separated areas like Lunik, but there are hundreds of so called gipsy ghettos around central Europe countries. It was not working. These people don´t understand - by their genetical gear, habits or whatever you will call it - values of work, home, education, nothing. They´re following only elder authorities, unemployment is like 90%, like two thirds or more are relying on government care and  money.
And for East Slovakia (one of the poorest EU regions), there´s one more thing which doesn´t exist in Czech republic - separated gipsy villages, like the place where´s no law. https://goo.gl/mUUY9f
But keep in mind,  this is NOT a slum. These people, they really want to live like that, it´s their choice.

Never had a L.C, pizza, so I don´t know (not a big pizza fan). Is it a classic american pizza style? It´s not very famous here, people in CZ prefer thin italian style pizza, it´s pretty rare to find american style on the list.
Hey, my coleague just came to the office.. he spent last three weeks in Detroit on business trip (also was on LCA opening, showing me dozens of photos). He´s from Slovakia, but I don´t have better comparison...
    ...
Haha, he´s saying LC pizza was horrible (stating as expected - he doesn´t like that pizza style).
He liked California pizza, chicken meat with cinamon, he found that strange combination very tasty.
