2017 Stanley Cup Finals: Nashville Predators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh just has better goaltending, coaching, offensive depth, special teams, basically everything except for D-men. -

Toews over Malkin is still the funniest thing I've ever stumbled upon. Oh NHL -

Don't know about 4 straight but they're the favorites to win the cup next year by far. They're getting all of their players back and healthy. Washington might blow it up, and I don't feel like Columbus would be good enough to challenge them yet. -

I would go with Saros in game 3. Not joking. I've watched so many Preds games and I legit think he's better than Rinne. -

Guentzel MVP. Penguins in 6. I called this s***. But Murray is still really good (even though Fluery is better) -
Feels like 40 years ago. Brett Hull was on this team?

Mike Ilitch passes, Joe Louis arena closes, playoff streak over, not even the last team to repeat as champs anymore. Lmao -

I also think this Rinne run has been smoke and mirrors. Pekka hasn't been good in 3 years. He's outplayed his true abilities so far. Matt Murray is far better, IMO (and Fleury is even better) -

Preds without Johansen and Fisher up against Crosby/Malkin is a massive deal. It's a bigger difference than Letang playing/not playing. Pittsburgh is currently favored at 61% by the Vegas sharps to win the series. Penguins in 6. Preds will give a fight, but ultimately, Sid and Geno make history. -
LOL this is a clownshow, quit posting. Pittsburgh had far more scoring chances than them in this series. Craig Anderson playing like god doesn't change the fact that Pittsburgh as a team was better.
-
Pittsburgh 58% over Nashville according to Vegas
-
Don't get me wrong, Ottawa had a great run, but they were definitely wayyy lucky to get this far. NYR dominated them and somehow lost 4 fluke games. Matching up against Pittsburgh's centermans is gonna be trouble for Nashville without Fisher. Pittsburgh in 6. Repeat champs.
-
They've also caught Pittsburgh and Boston both heavily hurt, and clearly were outplayed by NYR the entire series. This ottawa team doesn't deserve credit.
-
They've been a lucky team all season long. Bad puck possession. Doesn't generate a lot of scoring opportunities. Stop being so results oriented.

Sens could be the worst team in a while to make the Finals

2017 WCF ANAHEIM DUCKS VS NASHVILLE PREDATORS
shocky2002 replied to Hockeymom1960's topic in General
Just like last year, everyone hops on the Sharks/Predators bandwagon because they hope they will win, but in the end they're simply not the better team compared to Pittsburgh (even an injured one). The Penguins are ~60% favorites per Vegas. -
You know what the sickest thing about the Penguins repeating is? They're essentially the 2009 Red Wings. With all the injuries, they keep winning, they keep being great at puck movement, they still have good goaltending and they've got the best coach in the NHL. The 2009 Red Wings didn't repeat. But this Penguins team is probably going to do it.
-
Lol @ cup experience mattering. This is 2017. You might as well say the Red Wings have a better shot than the Preds because they have Zetterberg, Abby, Helm, Kronwall, returning Franzen. Jesus.

Even if Nashville wins the series, I'm not sure they'll have enough to Pittsburgh next round. Pittsburgh can survive the injuries, Nashville really can't -
Penguins are going to be the favorites for the cup again with Nashville losing Fisher and Johansen.

2017 ECSF Washington Caps vs. Pittsburgh Pens

I feel like the Sullivan/Crosby Penguins are basically the Belichick/Brady of the NHL. The Penguins should win the cup this year and they might just be a dynasty in the making. Ovechkin and the Capital=Mannning's Colts. -

Pittsburgh was very lucky to win 3 games this series. Washington should've won in 5 games. And then destroy the rest of the competition. They're on a whole nother level. Also LOL at the holtby haters. .932 career playoff save %. He was gonna turn his luck around against Pittsburgh at some point.
