Yo 91, am I the only one bothered by The Glover's antics? I feel like I'm right about this issue, but cant tellif others feel the same way or not. He's such a good player, so i get we dont want him getting 30 fighting majors. But the gloving is annoying, is it not?

Yup. Our bottom 6 has to show up this game. The focus needs to be Sprong, Rasmussen, Kostin, and Fischet getting Giroux and Tkachuck on tilt instead of Tkachuck getting The Glover riled up and then calling our whole team a bunch of p u s s i e s in fron of North America. I hope Kostin smashes Tkachuck's nose into his skull. Last 2 games had enough gloving from The Glover for an entire season. Im not sure how much more the fans can take. He would make me fall in love with him if he went after Tkqchuck and dropped the gloves first shift. Mo's testicles need to drop at some point. This would be a good time.

Glovers Gon Glove The last time we played in OTT, our season went in the trash. To me, this IS the most important team we play games against in our conference. This is the team that we can measure ourselves against in all aspects of the game. Theyre fast, big, and tough. They have a great mix of youth and experience and a high skill level. Great matchup.

For me, it's more about the timing of it. Perron needs the ice time to be a tradeable piece in February. Bringing in Kane now hurts that effort. But if we can wait to sign until end of January, then it will be a great move. There is no way you can look at replacing Perron with Kane as a bad thing.

When i saw his lateral movement and his ability to keep his head up 100% of the time, I figured he had a rafalski type ceiling and a Lebda type floor. He plays the game right and had a good hockey iq. All tgat was worth a #9 pick, imo.

CRL thinks he's a scout. He's more of a boy scout, really. I actually wanted ASP at the 9th pick. Oops.

Both, maybe. Ammo is a stud, too. Larkin/Compher/Copp/Rasmussen/Veleno/Danielson/Kasper/Lombardi. We loook halfway decent down the middle depthwise. We could use one more dynamic guy like Larkin. Kasper appears to be a guy that's going to be "defensively responsible", so hopefully Danielson and/or Ammo make that leap to dynamic.

Why does it matter what he does at Brandon this year? We drafted him for what he did LAST YEAR. It wasn't like we drafted him and said "And now for your 2nd year of tryouts." The guy GRADUATED from Brandon last year and should be on the Redwings or in Sweden, since he can't play in the AHL for stupid reasons. Sending him back to Brandon was a dumb decision.

Kasper was a top 10 pick.

Over the last 2 games, 2 things have stood out to me - Hedman rushing the puck as a center and turning a 2 on 2 into a 3 on 2, then stamkos one timing a no look feed from Hedman in the back of our net. 2nd, Gostisbehere turning a 2 on 2 into a 3 on 2 and one timing a good feed from Veleno into the back of the net. Moral of the story - 4 BLAH defenseman (Chiarot, Holl, Petry, and Maata) that can't play transition hockey aren't helping us score goals. I'm not saying there isn't a place in the NHL for a great stay at home defenseman. I'm saying there isn't a place in the NHL for a BLAH stay at home defenseman. And a team that chooses to ice 4 of them at the same time is REALLY stupid. Edvinsson, Wallinder, ASP, and Johansson are all guys that can skate well and play from goalline to goalline. Those kind of guys back off the opposition and create puck possession. We're going to have a really fun team to watch when our GM starts trusting his own instincts instead of giving himself excuses to make if things don't go well.

good call. if im Danielson with a 900k contract and inline to make MILLIONS at the NHL level, Im going 75% in Brandon too. The Yzerplan is so flawed in this regard. Getting drafted #8 in the NHL is, or should be, an instant roster spot on the big club. This is the equivalent of graduating high school, getting accepted to Princeton, and then being sent back to high school to take junior year level classes a 2nd time. Any success in Brandon this year is completely meaningless. If he blows out a knee or achilles, it could destroy his life. He is in a zero sum game right now because of the all knowing Yzerman. Stupid management, if you ask me. Even Holland got this one right with big Ras. Same situation handled the RIGHT way.
