I wonder how long it will be before teams just dress 17 higher paid players instead of 20. I mean, it almost seems like teams are getting HURT by having to spread out money. 9 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies. The (2) times each period where there arent any whistles in 4 minutes of play, you roll your 3rd D pair with a double shifted center as your 4th line. Is there a rule against a team doing this? NBA teams have 12 man rosters and typically only play 7 or 8 guys a game. I think hockey has 19 guys playing each game only because of tradition.
