After you turn 40, and youve been drinking beer long enough to give your bladder a 2 gallon capacity, it takes 3-4 minutes to take a piss.  So sitting starts to become a better option.

It freaks me out everytime I use a public restroom and you see old guys either struggling to take a leak at the urinal or sitting in a stall and moaning.

Have you seen Kasper play? Dont by in to those saying hes limited offense hes gonna out produce Raymonds d+1 this season and hell be one of the best players out of his draft class. Hes the real deal . hell take over Suter 3c next season and soon challenge Lark as 1a/1b c.

Even if he is good enough to be on the roster doesn't mean he should. A full season in Rogle or GR, getting top minutes and playing in all situations may be better than being sheltered and getting bottom 6 minutes in Detroit

Cholo and Frk continue to find work in the AHL. Svech is a legit NHLer.

Our third line should read: Svechnikov - Suter - Kubalik

    He' better than Zadina.

Not so fast. Svech has plateaued. Zadina might still get better. I wouldnt replace Zadina with Svech. I would replace Erne or Smith with Svech.

Kasper going straight to Detroit like Ratmond.  Veleno-Kasper-Zadina could be a nice 3rd line for us next year.

Raymond played a season in Frolunda following the draft. And then came to Detroit. Kasper is likely 2 more seasons away.

Ivan in Czech translates to "Pizza"

    His name is Pizza Pizza

    Appropriate.

  5. Edvinsson will be on the roster next season. Chiarot will be back. That's your top 2 LD. Johansson will have completed a season in GR and may be ready to make the jump. If McIsaac isn't ready by next season, he likely never will be. The D is already set for next season: Seider/Chiarot, Edvinsson/Hronek, Johansson, Lindstrom, McIsaac

And Larkin if there is no progress on an extension by then.

Highly unlikely, of course. I assume he'll be locked up before the opener.

I would be lying of I said I' m not worried if he doesn't sign by October. Bertuzzi too.

  6. Perron wont score 30.

Kubalik will score more than 20.

Seider will score more than 10.

    Smith wont reach 5.

Zadina will score more than 10.

    Oesterle wont score 5.

Hronek will score more than 5.

    Copp scores more than 20.

Tier 1: Franchise pillar talent. Award winning level. Possible # retirement.

Tier 2: Elite or very low chance of failure. Likely core players.

Tier 3: Boom or bust territory.

Tier 4: Dark horse players. Could be great, but most won't make any impact.

I think I would move Wallinder up. Also you don't have Amadeus on ur list at all.

  8. Does anyone know what's up with Jared McIsaac? He's older than all of Johansson, Wallinder, and Edvinsson, but seems to get way less attention. He's 22 and he still hasn't played one NHL game that I know of. With all of SY's additions on D, it appears the organization does not expect to make the roster again this season either.

Is this just a case of him needing more time because of injury setbacks? Or do we have another Sproul/Ouelette on our hands?

This is the most pointless debate on LGW in history.  Which of our busts is the worst bust?  ha ha ha ha

yes. but it's the off season.

I just don't see any reasons to keep one over the other or ditch one over the other. Hopefully Berggren and Soderblom replaces them both.

Ras was a draft reach...  he has size and a defensive game that makes him more flexible (top 6 or bottom 6) and he's been more productive offensively than Zadina who is an offense only option who was was projected Ascari top 3 pick.  And yes draft position matters... if we drafted Zadina in the 7th round people would be thrilled., we wasted a top 10 pick on a waiver caliber player.

I don't believe Ras shot his mouth off either "I will fill their nets with pucks" I WISH that had happened!! Also with his size I think it's taken Ras a bit more time to get going and I think he will keep improving. Zadina can't bigger he can't process faster so let's pray that he hits stride on the 3rd line otherwise it will be curtains I think for him.

    From Mlive article https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2022/08/red-wings-mailbag-how-world-juniors-affects-personnel-decisions.html

Q: Filip Zadina is still not signed. Can anything be read into that? - Ben

A: No. He'll be signed before the start of training camp. Being a restricted free agent wasn't arbitration eligible, he has no other options. No one is going to sign him to an offer sheet. The Red Wings will sign .him on their terms.

Going to be interesting to see what Yzerguy offers the net filler...

Irrelevant. Both were top 10 picks. reach or not, you dont draft players in the top 10 expecting them to be bottom 6 forwards.

Rasmussen is averaging .31 points per game. Zadina is averaging .38 points per game. Ras is not the better point producer. He is actually a worse scorer despite being bigger and having an extra year of development.

Zadina has been a huge disappointment.  But so has Rasmussen. And yet you guys are clamoring to trade the younger, better scorer while wanting the older, lesser scorer to stay and get more ice time.

    Not logical.

He didnt play well but horrible is a stretch clearly wasnt himself. Doubt SYs putting much stock in a tournament he had food poisoning. Hell def have to step up his game in TC tho.

Depends on how bad the food poisoning is. If it made him severely dehydrated and malnourished, that will literally effect his muscle mass, stamina, and fitness level for weeks potentially. For a guy who is trying to make an NHL roster only a month afterwards, it could absolutely hurt his chances. Especially, since he will need to get his body chemistry and bulk back up beforehand.

I'd rather see Zadina in the press box and giving his minutes on the 3rd line wing to Rasmountain.

Is Ras a bust? IIRC, Ras was like a 9th overall pick and hasn't really been any better than Zadina at this point. But everyone wants Ras to get more opportunity cuz he's not a bust, but get rid of Zadina cuz he is a bust.
