Suh is old school. He plays hard and doesn't really care if he hurts. That's why I love him. The unfortunate thing is in today's NFL if you look at a quarterback sideways it's 15 yards, a first down, and $20,000. I'm not saying he's innocent of the occasional dirty play. There are certainly times where he goes above and beyond, and I hate those because it hurts the team. But I can't blame him if he sacks the quarterback by pushing him down a little too hard and gets a flag. An example of the last one was that in the 4th quarter of the Broncos, a linebacker (I think it was Bulloch) had Tebow wrapped and progress stopped. He didn't throw him to the ground, so Tebow threw the pass away to a receiver. Now Tulloch didn't want to throw him down or land on him for fear of a penalty as the new rules have seemingly implied, but the refs didn't blow the whistle and allowed Tebow to stand there wrapped up for seconds and then throw a pass.

I take back what I said about them turning it around. They are the worst team in the league. I don't see why everyone seems to think Rick Nash is so untouchable. Yes,he's a star player who seems happy to stay on a crappy team (red flag), but they've changed management, coaches, and supporting cast and they still suck. The one constant in the suckitude that is Blue Jackets hockey is Rick "What's Backchecking?" Nash. Just sayin.

The Packers are certainly giving up yards but they do come up with the big plays when it matters most. Obviously, as a fan (not I), it's not preferable, but they do seem to have a winning formula on that side of the ball and the talent to get away with it. The question just becomes, will it bite them in the ass in that one game where they need another one of their big plays and don't get it. But they have Rodgers who seems to be a touchdown better than whoever they play. If I didn't have him on my fantasy team I would really, really hate that guy.

The Lions on tv in Columbus for the fourth week in a row and it was a blowout win. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in 2007 did we not beat the Broncos something like 44-3 to go to 6-2? And then we lost all but one game. That Broncos game may have been a week or two before that, but anyways, the point is we have to make sure this story has a different ending than that of the 2007 Lions. And I'm pretty sure it will.

Geez...I paid money, not much, but money to watch this game in person from the 7th row and I'm pretty unaffected by the loss. These games happen. The Jackets are a better team than their record indicates and we didn't come with it tonight. It happens. Wings Nation showed up as usual. Just didn't have a reason to make much noise. Everytime I go to Nationwide, I have ten great conversations with Jackets fans and meet one *******.

I don't know what's happened to this offense. Suddenly, Stafford looks gun-shy which is probably partially due to o-line not giving him a whole lot of time the last two weeks. The loss of Best of course affects that, but it was the same thing last week when we had him. I'm hoping I can chalk these losses up to just two bad games and not symptoms of an impending collapse.

SF did all they could to give us that game easily and we all did was take it and go 3 and out. Pretty disappointed in both the playcalling and the execution. Defense did pretty good, though they were one play short of a winning performance.

I'd say we would be the first to lose. The Packers have a couple games before Thanksgiving that could give them trouble, but the Packers are the better team in each matchup. The Packers are the class of the league right now, it's just up to us win the head-to-head matchups.

Wow, you're right. I'm so used to spacing out when they report about Crosby that I completely forgot.

    CBJ's Rough Start

Living in Columbus, I hear it all the time. Basically, Steve Mason sucks. Also, I think they're a much improved team, so pretty surprised they are struggling so much out of the gate. Though I do think they'll turn things around, they're burying themselves pretty early.

Lapierre is an all-world ******. So this pleased me.

    Roenick's Rant

Last night that 6pm Sportscenter had another one of their thirty seconds sit-downs about hockey with Melrose. Did they talk about the season so far, or maybe about the night's matchup between the two highest scoring teams in the league last season, or even about the Pens-Caps game? No, they talked about Crosby and there was nothing to report. Hell, I'd be alright with an update about nothing once a week even. But you don't need to report there's no news every single day. There's an actual sport being played out on the ice each night with some amazing plays....maybe mention that once in awhile. I realize that this isn't Sid's fault, it is the ridiculousness of the media that covers him. Is it any wonder that so many hockey fans seem to hate him though? There are more people who aren't Pens/Crosby fans than are. So, basically being told that your team and interests matter less than the non-newsworthy gossip of a guy who isn't even playing is infuriating and also makes Crosby a target for more hatred.

There is no rain nor any apparent rain headed for the Dallas metro area. Did they get so much last night/this morning that the field is still an issue?

I had two tv's running so I could watch my Buckeyes blow their biggest lead in history and watch the Tigers come up just one at bat short time after time. The strike zone was BS but that was still a winnable game. Oh well, hopefully Max shuts them down tonight. Can't get down 2-0.

That period was fun. We should do that every period. Good to see Hudler getting on the board early in the season. He's going to be counted on this year.

We're winning....which is cool. I have Time Warner and it's free this week. Missed the early bird special so not sure if I'm gonna purchase this year or not yet.

That was frigging great! I thought Leyland took Scherzer out too early, but Benoit powered through and pitched great in the 8th. Except for the warning track fly that stopped my heart for a brief moment.

Way too much stress in that one. JV wasn't himself and still had, what, 11 strikeouts? Also, that ump's strike zone was bulls***. CC had some particularly poor calls I thought, not that I felt too bad for him haha. I'm not gonna fall asleep awhile. The nerves are making me twitch still. Finish it tomorrow! Go Tigers!

^^ You mustn't speak of injuring Matthew Stafford. It's unacceptable. Like my mom mentioning the Scherzer hadn't given up a hit heading into the 6th inning today. By the way boys and girls, that was largest comeback in a road game in NFL history. Now eventually, pulling this crap is gonna catch up with us. But this is seriously fun.
