Edmonton is using Kuly as the 4/5 and 2nd pair SH unit. NJD pretty much the same thing with 1st pair SH unit. He was 2nd pair in Winnipeg with similar SH usage. I kinda hate how inept at offense and generally boring he is. Kinda like Dekeyser. And now he'll be 31 to start next season. If this was the 2009 Red Wings or contemporary Lightning I'd prolly love a player like this on our 3rd pair. Yup. I like how you're thinking. Larkin - Zadina - Hronek - Mantha - they're all just assets. They're good assets, but they're not so good they deserve special treatment. The ONLY player in our system that seems worthy of special handling is Seider. If we can flip Mantha for Vrana and picks I'm for it. If we can flip Larkin for Kuznetsov and picks I'm for it. Anything and everyone (besides Seider) should be leveraged.

Larikin is nowhere near the caliber center that Kuznetsov is. Sure Kuzy just turned 28 and has 4 years left on his contract. But all that means is we trade him at 31 after 3 years.

Thank you, I included the 1st rounder for a reason. The Red Wings should be rewarded for upgrading in age and cap hit. In my perspective I see it as a lateral move + a 1st rounder. Kuznetsov isn't gonna bring us a cup, but then again neither is Larkin. Squeezing a 1st outta that transaction is the lowkey goal.

Folks forget Wilson is a former #16 overall pick. 50 pt enforcer. They are rare these days and I would kill to have a player like this on the wings.

Drury's been groomed for the position. I know there was some shock when Drury did not defect from the rangers for a GM job and stayed on as associate GM. Drury as GM has been lined up for a while. It could very well be he is Sathers lapdog.

The sad part is I would be clamoring to hire Gorton if Yzerman wasn't already here. He fired one of the best GM's in the business IMO.
