Lombardi was also drafted as an overager like quite a few other SY picks. Good #s but I wouldnt get to hyped yet. Same for Ali and Zito all these guys are longshots. This is a player worth getting hyped about imo.

Larkins also better then Toews so thats 4yrs since 2008 but the point wasnt how many times but that it can be done. You can win with a very good 1c elite w and d and strong depth and it looks like thats what SY is building. Larkin isn being traded.

Teams have proven to win with good c and great w and d. St louis had O'reilly Schenn Bozak Sundqvist at c. Larkin is better then any of those. Like mentioned adding Horvat having Larkin Horvat Copp/Kasper at c with Raymond Vrana Kubalik Berggren Perron Copp/Kasper at w and Seider Hronek Edvinsson Wallinder at d thats a cup caliber team imo. We just need a g because Cossa aint it.

You dont trade your best player when your over halfway through whats shaping up to be a successful rebuild. Trading your captain warrior best player is not part the yzerplan. Dude no deal is getting signed mid season. The tdl will pass and Larkin will sign his contract this summer.

He wont be traded =/= non-tradeable. He wont be traded because hes the best player on the team and the only quality top6c on the team. Trade your average 1C and all of the sudden your stuck with 2 3Cs playing top6c. Copp Rasmusen Veleno Suter are far from a 1C. Kasper might get there but even thats unlikely at this point. injury prone top6w = trade bait heart and soul captain 1c = keeper

I mostly agree except for the disparity between the 2. There is a gap imo but I dont think its large. Its clear Edvinsson is ahead based on usage paired with nhlers while Johansson paired with ahlers.

The only 1 with a point between Ed and Jo is Big Ed. Stats dont lie. What else doesnt lie is deployment by the coach. Edvinsson is trusted more in all situations for good reason hes the better player.
