I'm actually very confident going into this game for a few reasons. Bertuzzi made some comments that made me believe that he and the entire team knows that even though this series is tied at 1, they're completely on the ropes. Two is the fact that Kopecky is going to be some fresh blood coming into the lineup absolutely looking for people to knock to the ice. The third reason is that hopefully the Wings heard about Pronger's comments about them not matching up 5 on 5, and they were motivated. I'm prediction a Wings win. Word, LDi03

The thing that really is making me not worry too much about Schneider being gone is that he was never really spectacular on defense. Of course, we'll miss his offence, but I'd rather it was him that went instead of some more defensively capable player. I'm still a subscriber to the idea that defense wins championships, and we didn't take TOO big of a knock by losing him. Word, Ldi03

I've always wanted Drury to be on this team. However, I still say that if Bertuzzi does anything at all in these playoffs to show that he might be worth a second look next year, sign him. It's not often that someone that huge has hands that nice. I still think it would be nice to add a big defenseman to this team and a big second line centre so we can still have a stacked fourth line with Hudler-Filppula and whoever. Word, Ldi03

Wow. Just got back from the game. I can honestly say that I have never seen a less entertaining game in person. This is also the first time, other than in a shootout, that the Wings have lost a game that I attended. I was just absolutely shocked at how it seemed like absolutely no one came to play today. It just looked like absolutely nobody cared about winning that hockey game. San Jose kept everyone to the perimiter. The way they played, you'd think that Shanahan or Hull were still on the team. It was just pathetic. My two cents. Word, LDi03

The thing that's always amazed, and I do mean AMAZED me about Lidstrom's play is that it seems to be like a fine wine, getting much better with age. I hate to use that cliche, but has anyone else noticed this, or am I off my rocker? Word, Ldi03
