Of course offers are time sensitive. Lots of decisions have to be made over short periods of time. That's not on the Wings that he decided to change his mind or retract his demands. He made that mistake and both sides ending up losing. -

Again....as Kliq stated. The Cap is linked to overall revenue. Not the top salaries. By taking less he is actually leaving more for his peers. But you keep spinning whatever it is you're trying to spin.

Trouba plays for Winnipeg. I guess my point is...if theyre dealing from a position of strength, why would they want Nyquist? Undersized perimeter wingers have little value compared to core younger defencemen. Especially ones with his contract. If I'm a GM and I'm dealing a young defenceman because of a surplus, I'm at least going to ask for a forward of similar pedigree and age. -

Not all players develop at the same pace. They seem to think he's got a higher ceiling. Much like Cholowski. Looking forward to see what can come from him.

I honestly think some of you hate Holland more than you like the Red Wings. You would rather see these guys fail, and be right about Holland, than have these guys excel and have a successful team built by Holland.

There's no way I would trade either Larkin or AA in a trade for Galchenyuk for the simple reason that those assets are much more cost-controlled than him. He's approaching the end of his RFA status and is going to want to get paid soon. Plus I really don't think his ceiling is any higher.

Montreal's got some good wingers, but that really means nothing without some strength down the middle.

I think early on in Sid's career a ton of the flack was warranted. He whined too much and deserved much of what he got. Now I don't really get it. He doesn't whine and stays out of most things. Does he retaliate and cross the line every so often? Yeah he does. But he also takes more on-ice abuse than any player I've ever seen. At this point it's all sour grapes and jealousy. The guys a hell of a player with a ton of heart. -

Apples and oranges Frank. Wirtz did a lot more to antagonize and show a complete lack of respect to the fans. We miss the playoffs once and we're being compared to the "Wirtz era" in Chicago. Give me a break...
