I honestly think some of you hate Holland more than you like the Red Wings. You would rather see these guys fail, and be right about Holland, than have these guys excel and have a successful team built by Holland.

Apples and oranges Frank. Wirtz did a lot more to antagonize and show a complete lack of respect to the fans.
We miss the playoffs once and we're being compared to the "Wirtz era" in Chicago. Give me a break...

There's no way I would trade either Larkin or AA in a trade for Galchenyuk for the simple reason that those assets are much more cost-controlled than him. 
He's approaching the end of his RFA status and is going to want to get paid soon. Plus I really don't think his ceiling is any higher.

I'd be okay if Nosek is the only kid that makes the team in October. Both Svechnikov and Bertuzzi could use a little more time down in Grand Rapids. They will both be up at some point when the inevitable injuries hit. I'd also like Frk on the team, even if it's as the 13th forward. I'm also excited to see Hicketts, but he may see another full season down in GR before he gets a look.

I think early on in Sid's career a ton of the flack was warranted. He whined too much and deserved much of what he got. 
Now I don't really get it. He doesn't whine and stays out of most things. Does he retaliate and cross the line every so often? Yeah he does. But he also takes more on-ice abuse than any player I've ever seen.
At this point it's all sour grapes and jealousy. The guys a hell of a player with a ton of heart.

The funny thing is, I am not blue collar (I have said a million times on here I work for a business as a general manager) however I find it quite disgusting that you would use such an ignorant term as "blue collar stupid" as I am friends with plenty of blue collar individuals, and the assertion that they are all stupid is right up there with one of the dumbest things I have ever read on this board.

Vrbata didn't even get traded. 
That should provide some insight for why Vanek went for what he did.
