Bottom line is you can't have your head down looking at the puck comming into the zone. Thats how you get hurt in Pee Wee, Juniors; not to mention the NHL. Clean hit even with the new rules. The reason why he wasn't protected had nothing to do with a blindside, the Comeau created the "blindside".

I saw it. Since I only had the Chicago commentators to listen to, all I heard was how great Eddie's hair was or something like that. It occured at center ice away from the play. The event was on the edge of my screen. It was difficult to catch any details other than Salei skating off to the bench.

600K ouch! Thats less than I make.

I've been waiting for this for a while! Lets show how "old" we are! Go WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Since this board and it's members need something to complain about to make them happy, I'll start! Ericsson is lazy and he sucks! or since Lang really trade marked that one, we could use Ericsson is stupid and he sucks! or any combo of terms. Hopefully, teaming up with Lids will give him some serenity and have him stop trying to push the play causing errors and giveaways.

I haven't read the other replys so excuse me if I'm redundant; This can't affect Center Ice as CI has different contractual obligations than Fox Sports. On dish, there are separate Fox Sports channels that you can subscribe, while CI is a separate pay per view service.

******* Orpik with a knee on knee to Franzen should get an intent to injure and suspension from the league! -
vFlip/iFlip LOL. iFlip. Thats funny. It was a real treat to see our talent vs our talent. This is the first red/white game that I've seen. It was awesome to see Lidstrom poke check the puck off of Franzens stick. The best part is our prospects look very solid! There are a ton of up and comming talent. I can't wait to see Tatar in the NHL.

I Love this! ALOT!!!!!! Hjalmarsson was vastly underrated. He'll become a top 2 D-man. Makes the Sharks a deeper team. Big loss for the Hawks, one that high draft picks are unlikely to make up for.

There are a ton of movies being shot in Detroit and Ann Arbor currently.

This is far from official. A 2 year deal is on the table and Modano is likely going to choose the WIngs IF he decides not to retire. http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2010/07/mike_modano_speaks_to_espn_dal.html http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2010/07/mccosky_if_mike_modano_continu.html

To quote George Malik " As someone who was nothing less than furious at the fact that the NHL allowed the Blackhawks to get away with not qualifying five restricted free agents, I can't help but laugh my rear off as the salary cap catches up to them, and those theoretically unrestricted free agents leave town. The Hawks won't bring back John Madden, and have lost Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel, Ben Eager, Kris Versteeg, Andrew Ladd and Adam Burish, and remain mashed up against the salary cap, with only $3 million (per Capgeek.com) to sigh three forwards, two defensemen and attempt to re-sign Antti Niemi and Niklas Hjalmarsson. In the words of Nelson Muntz, HA-HAH! " Hjalmarsson deserves 2.5M while Niemi could get 4M/year easy. Who's next?

He has said in the local papers here that the 4 teams he would play for are Kings, Yokes, Ducks, & Sharks. He wants to be close to DFW. If he'd take an entry level contract with bonuses, I'd take him, but he is old and slow. Modano is lazy and he sucks!
-
I was really excited to see this, but I would be Homer on the 3rd line and move both flip and Huds up a line.
-
I'm sure Maltby's got some hockey left in him, its just better served in the AHL or a beer league!
-
I'm happy to see Ville do well. Strange that he has turned into the force that we thought he would. Too bad he wasn't playing better prior to the trade to increase his value, a third rounder is more appropriate.

I'd laugh too if I got pressured from a group of kids about resigning a contract.

After getting swept, most certain changes will occur. With their history, likely big changes. I don't know the salaries or their cap situation, but if I was Doug Wilson, I would offer a Washington (a team that most likely want change) Thorton and Marleu for AO. They'd think about it, but probably would never pull the trigger on something so "Keanian". It will be really interesting to see what happens there. So much potential and talent washed down the drain again. THe curse of the sunbelt.....or is the teal?

I just saw this on Sports Center in the lounge of my hospital. The 1st thing I thought of was this whole Phoenix situation. Interesting to say the least. Again, you shouldn't model our league after a collosal money monster like the NFL, but any legal ruling against an organization as big as the NFL certainly will have ramifications on how the NHL if forced to govern it's teams to a CBA. Very timely!

That was a whole hell of alot worse. Losing in 1995, getting swept in the finals was defeating, losing by one goal to a team that came back from a 0-2 deficit and a 3-2 deficit to win it all in your own barn.......hate to bring back the pain, but; that sucked big time. I only hope we can get back there w/in the next decade.

Afterall, hindsight is 20/20; but here are a few players drafted after Kindl; -Paul Stastny #42 -James Neal #33 -Mark Vlasic #35 -Andrew Cogliano #25 -T.J. Oshie #24 *Sigh* Well considering what has been done, I guess we don't have any reason to complain, but it doesn't seem like we've really drafted much in the past 5 years.
-
I've always thought that the teams should be seeded like this. Especially from about 94 when the east *except NJ* absolutly sucked. Again, the winner of the WCF wins the cup.
-
Faceoffs cost us this series.

Lets go boys! Solid 60. Lets dominate with puck possessions and faceoffs!!!
