Who would you most blame for a round 2 loss?

Without a doubt; Pavelski. Hands down. The guy has done everything.

I too have been critical, but the amazing stat is that he scored a point in everyone of the games in the series tieing a redwings record. CRAZY! You really have to remember that the guy had a major injury and recovery typically takes a year to reach your peak. He is a beast, but needs to show himself as one on the scoresheet.

    Return of Hudler

To Clarify, that would be nationalism and not rascism. "Nationalism involves a strong identification of one's social identity with that of a nation or state. The subject can include the belief that one's nation is of primary importance.[1] It is also used to describe a movement to establish or protect a homeland (usually an autonomous state) for an ethnic group. In some cases the identification of a homogeneous national culture is combined with a negative view of other races or cultures. [2] Nationalism is sometimes reactionary, calling for a return to a national past, and sometimes for the expulsion of foreigners. Other forms of nationalism are revolutionary, calling for the establishment of an independent state as a homeland for an ethnic underclass. Nationalism emphasizes collective identity - a 'people' must be autonomous, united, and express a single national culture.[3] However, some nationalists stress individualism as an important part of their own national identity.[4]" VS Racism is the belief that race is a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.[1] Or, on the opposite side, racism can be described[weasel words] as the belief that a certain race or races portray undesirable characteristics . In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or receive preferential treatment.

WCQF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 4 at Coyotes 1

Looks like they are putting in Schneider in to spark their PP and have the other point man come down to crash the net. I hope we burn them with a shortie with Helm/Eaves/Cleary stuffing one away from those old legs. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2010/04/phoenix_to_insert_former_red_w.html

    Ian Laperriere

Actually, playoff hockey is about sacrificing the body, but knowing how to block a shot. They guy needs to learn not to face the puck or wear a face sheild. He should know better considering he did the same thing earlier this year. Maybe he's so dumb he can't pass shot blocking 101

Will Hossa score in the playoffs?

Worry about Wings. I too find it incredible that Kopecky gets so much ice time with the talent on that team. Good for him. Moving over there was certainly a step up for him.
  12. This is great. Hopefully, there is a fire there! GO WINGS!!!

The Wings will win game 4

I believe that they will win tonight as well. THey need a win like Washington had on Montreal. Unfortunately, we will have to hear that Doan is the driving inspiration and saving grace and without him their collective hearts stop beating, but we need a win. As importantly, we need a game 4 AND 5 win. What ever happens, we need a team that will compete for 60 minutes. Game three left a bruise on my soul.

It gives both the 3rd and 4th line a ton of speed, grit and a bit of skill with the ability to put the puck in the net! I hope this combo series gels a bit more, gets Drapper going and is a dominant force to come.

With Chicago's mounting injuries on the backend, their mediocre and inexperienced goaltending all pose for an upset for Chicago.

  21. I haven't read such an inciteful well thought out post since NorrisNick was posting around here. I hope you are right, I'd love to see how what he is capable in the NHL with the winged logo on his sweater.
  22. Come on guys! Kessler is a great energy guy with good skating skills and soft hands, but really is he a 5 million a year guy? IMO, No way. These type of over inflated contracts are what kills the league. Bad contract.

3/9 GDT: Flames 4 at Red Wings 2

Damn that was painful! The lack of consistancy will lead to this year becoming a wash. Two thumbs down.
  24. The other important question is who goes for the 2.4 million more than what Filpula makes that we would have to pay Hossa? 1) you never get to see Eaves. That is sad! 2) you possibly never get to see Miller. 3) Bertuzzi isn't signed. He's the biggest scapegoat around, so not many will shed tears, but when he plays like he did today, he is a big asset to this team. Needless to say; I choose Hossa as well even though I think that this year was a complete off year for Val. Here's hoping to a breakout record year in 2011!

    Thanks Matt!

Thanks to all of the admin making this board an effective tool to communicate our passions about the best franchise and team in the NHL. This site has been kinda hot for a few months now. I've had many alerts about trojan horses and other malware warnings. Lets hope that you can install the best firewall to keep all that crap away. Death to bots and losers who write those types of codes!
