I wouldn't trade Darren Helm to sign Hossa. And I want Hossa retained. Centers are just too valuable to move for wingers, even elite ones like Hossa.

Jesus Christ.

Your requests are unreasonable. You don't have to back everything up with a fight. The Wings indeed jaw, push, facewash whatever. It's a turf war. Fighting in the playoffs and the majority of the time in the regular season is useless and more for aesthetics than anything else. It still has a place in the game, just not when the games matter. Fans wanting to see the Wings back up their talking is more for their own personal satisfaction than the good of the team. Seriously, this team is on the verge of back-to-back finals and we're calling guys like Franzen cowards? Get a grip, dude. Your priorities are severely out of whack.
-
If that's anti-fighting, your post is clearly anti-Wings. Your posts are generally selfishly toned and ill advised. The teams who do stuff after the whistle are the cowards. They don't have enough heart to do it when it matters. Seriously, that macho crap is for the teams who don't know how to win.

Send a PM to a Mod if you have something you want to discuss about board rules or things of that nature.

Why the hell was my post about the puck bouncing deleted?!?!?

He didn't get called up FOR game 6, he was just merely called up. He won't be playing.

Yet strangely Kopecky led all Wings forwards in hits.
-
That was a great job by Kopecky getting Beauchemin to go with him and have Anaheim lose a top 4 defensemen for 5 minutes with under 8 to go.

Was just watching this pre-season game on NHL network and the pbp guy mentioned that a rule change this year is after icings there will no longer be a TV timeout like there was in the past few years. I can't believe it took them this long to get around to it, they went out of their way to emphasize the penalty with icings and with the TV timeout it completely negated it.

Uh, Cleary is 2nd on the team in points with 7.

1. Calgary is not a playoff team. Every year we hear the same thing 'Calgary is built for the playoffs!' 4 straight 1st round exits. 2. The San Jose Sharks are (were) the best team in the NHL and super coach Todd McLellan was a major loss to the Wings. McLellan did a wonderful job his first year as a head coach but his rookie abilities showed in the 1st round. 3. Anaheim has the best defense in the NHL. They won the series and none of the Sharks players showed up, but they still allowed 40+ shots almost every night. That's the best defense?

Correct. Thank you.

Go watch some highlights of the '97 finals with Lidstrom against the unstoppable Legion of Doom line. Zetterberg and Lidstrom will be out there against them 95% of the time. Getzlaf's line will get some points, but they can and will be shut down.

He was grimacing at the end of the 2nd period but Ken & Mick said he looked fine warming up for the 3rd. Babcock said in the post game interview that Osgood was 100% healthy. He's probably lying but I believe if there was risk of furthering the injury Conklin would've came in.

Good post. This thread is on a short leash, it's begging to be closed.
-
?? They do that now and the Wings are still the best faceoff team in the league.
-
Rhetoric. Good enough for game one. This is a family forum.

Vancouver even had empty seats last night and they didn't make the playoffs a year ago.

50% full arena is a pretty massive hyperbole. P.S. this is the same article they fun every year in the 1st round.
