Done deal. Yzerman wins. Ritola is gone. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2010/10/tampa_bay_claims_mattias_ritol.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+detroit-redwings+%28Detroit+Red+Wings+-+MLive.com%29 "DETROIT -- The Tampa Bay Lightning, with new general manager Steve Yzerman, have claimed forward Mattias Ritola off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings."

Agreed. I loved Golubovsky almost as much as Kuznetsov.

Remembering Derian Hatcher's tenure with Detroit
Lamothe replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Agreed. I for one was clapping when his lame ass was bought out. No hard feelings Derian, but given your performance, I had no desire to keep you around. His stances against the player's union also contributed to my lack of support for him. -
Agreed. NHL 10 is boring me. I YEARN FOR NHL 11! Summer sucks . I'm having huge withdrawls, and the Tigers just aren't doin' it this year for me.

You must've forgotten Uwe Krupp.
-
I agree with this 100%.
-
I cannot believe that this is true. We have truely lost a legend this day. RIP Probie, Detroit will never forget.

Blackhawks playing Wings for banner raising game

This. LOL. -
HOLY s***! I had no idea Boychuck hit like this. Sign this guy UP!

Legal disputes has nothing to do with how the man plays hockey. Who cares. That's like saying you shouldn't be hired for a job because you had your license revoked when you were 19 for going 35 over the speed limit. s*** happens, and so does life. We all make mistakes or bad choices at some point. Bert's personal business is his own. I don't care. If he plays well and fits the team, then I want him here. His life is his own and not mine nor anyone else's business.

I don't want to see Pav go at any point, but everyone must understand that he wants to play for his home town. I mean, wouldn't all of us if we played a professional sport?
-
Winning a Championship is definitely a mark in the "good" column. But his consistency is yet to be proven, remember. I'm not so sure I buy this rumor, though I do believe Nabokov is done in SJ.

I was JUST about to post this as well. Awesomesauce. Hopefully "Leino II" pans out for us.
-
Awesome. I'd love to see this happen.
-
This.
-
That is correct. Freddy Meyer is a good third pairing defensemen who, regardless of his small statue, doesn't mind using his body. For under or around a mil, I'd love to see him in Detroit at some point.
-
Brad Norton, 2006-07. Just to be a pain. Aside from that, I agree with you entirely.
-
Awesome. When Chicago makes the playoffs for 19+ consecutive years and Detroit doesn't, we can talk about "Detroit suck[ing]."
-
True on the pick, that worked out alright. But I think Tollefsen is gone. I doubt he wants to spend time in the AHL when he could sign with a terrible team and play in the NHL in two years after our rights are gone, never accomplishing anything. Like a BOSS.
-
Considering he's stated numerous times that he wanted to stay in Tampa to help the team rebuild and become a contender again, yes.
-
Lecavalier has a No Movement Clause. He'd have to waive it to come here. No chance.
-
Adam Mair (800k).
-
I'd kill to have Adam Mair on this team. He'd fit the fourth line perfectly.
