That's not the point. The point is that Edzo does show his bias when the Hawks are playing and that isn't good for the game, especially on nationally broadcasted stations. They should be using a broadcaster that his team is not playing in the playoffs.
Exactly. It would really be no different if NBC said, "Hey, Ken and Mick...you want to do national play-by-play for this series?" Chicago fans would be livid (and rightly so). The fact of the matter is, Edzo is EXTREMELY unprofessional when it comes to Chicago and Pittsburgh games on NBC and has all too often actually WHINED on air about the mistreatment of his favored team. I remember when the Wings won a game in OT over Chicago and Edzo let out a big, annoyed sigh when the GWG occurred. That ain't professional.

40.3 Automatic Suspension – Category II - Any player who deliberately applies physical force to an official in any manner (excluding actions as set out in Category I), which physical force is applied without intent to injure, or who spits on an official,shall be automatically suspended for not less than ten (10) games.
Last night was another perfect case in point as to why I don't like the Pens. It reminded me so much of Game 2 in 2009 against us. Pens lose, they act like spoiled little brats, throw punches, take cheap shots, etc. They did it against us, they did it last year against Philly and now they're doing it this year against the Isles. They are TERRIBLE losers. Does frustration play a part in it? Sure, but guys like Crosby and Malkin can't act like that for two reasons. One, they're supposed to be the leaders of the team. Coming unglued at the end of every losing game isn't leadership. And two, the NHL wants them to be the faces of the league. Being a sore loser isn't the image that the NHL is striving for.
Don't forget Iginla's unnecessary and potentially dangerous hit at the end of the game. Status quo for him, even moreso as a Penguin now.

I think the Isles could really surprise some people. Nabokov's been pretty good in net for the Isles and Tavares, well damn, kid's a Hart Trophy candidate.

...so they are also watering down "our" Winter Classic which is pissing me off beyond believe.
All throughout the lockout, I was wondering how Bettman was going to screw up this Winter Classic (and, in the process, create another Penguins Classic) and I guess I have my answer.

I tend to think it would actually be BETTER in the long run were this team to miss the postseason, the record be damned. Missing the postseason means that heads would actually roll for a change. I think. Maybe.

Apparently it was just recently reported by Howard Eskin of Fox 29 in Philly. The claim is that the concussion-like symptoms have recurred...

Means KH has his eye on FA this summer and re-signing our current guys.

What's even more embarassing it's on national TV. It's not a Wings or Hawks feed. He shouldn't even broadcasting any Hawks game on national tv. That's a good way of turning fans of other teams off.
Shouldn't be able to do Penguins broadcasts either, but it's not like this league has any integrity anymore or anything.

I love that Ken Holland isn't going to do a thing to improve this team. Returnees from injury aren't "deadline acquisitions", no matter how many times you repeat it.

I'm betting part of the problem is with ownership too. Bylsma clearly didn't have the power to rein in Crosby and I'm betting if he tried, he would have gotten more than a few phone calls from Mario - look at the occasions during the postseason when we saw Crosby mouthing off to Bylsma on the bench like a petulant child. Total power struggle and Crosby will win that every single time due to the hierarchy of that organization.
