Yeah, I say get Smyth. Even better if it was before end of season. Trade Datsyuk for him, and that allows Lang to center the second line. I think Lang is slow, but he is making things happen and is actually putting up points in the post season.

The only reason I could see Philly doing this is to put Naslund and Forsberg together. Other than that, the deal is better for Vancouver. I wish the Wings could aquire Gagne. That would be sweet!!

I would be interested in trading Lang straight up for Souray. Each team gets something they are lacking, plus more money to play with.

Asking for $5.5m on the open market...won't happen...getting $4m from Holland...better not happen. He is worth what he made last year as he hasn't shown up in the playoffs and he is getting old.

He can jump all over it all he wants...it would then be up to Draper as he has a NO TRADE CLAUSE and would have to waive it to be traded! Is it that hard for people to understand that it so unlikely that Draper would waive the clause. Plus, it says Buffalo is looking for a second line center...Draper is not a second line center! Get over it already. Send Lang, you will save cap room while your at it and play someone from the AHL that deserves a chance for once. -

I have to agree with some of the earlier posts. If Cross can come in and get comfortable with the leadership that others will show him and he can play well in the games he plays in, I will be happy with the move. It was hard not to expect a big deal because of the cap, but at least an upgrade over Rivers was made, and I feel that Cross is better than Woolley, especially in his own end. Cross is here for defensive play more so then offense anyways.

Yeah, whatever is all I have to say. I just hope no one gets hurt to have to bring in some of the great depth the Wings have.
