It's not always the things that Thornton says, but it's more how and when he says them. Thornton, and to a greater extent, San Jose, has never won anything. So, for him to say things like this, coupled with his "We're the best team in the NHL" quip from a few months back, just shows an almost arrogant attitude that he hasn't really earned yet. Joe is an elite player, but he shouldn't talk s*** like this until he's earned the right to do so. Nobody would even question Steve Yzerman making these comments, but Joe Thornton . . .

Ozzie seems to be coming out of the crease and playing bigger this period. That's certainly been a problem for him this season.

I'm about to move to Phoenix and there are tons of Wings fans living in the valley. So, what does management do, they raise single game ticket prices for Wings games. Won't keep me from going (I've seen them play there twice already), but I think it's a s***ty thing to do when you're trying to sell the game to anyone who'll watch.
