OK Im on the fence about Holland, He got a sturdy "D" man for essentialy a bag of pucks and a skate lace, But it still does not get our scoring production up for a STRUGGLING (to say it mildly) offense We are missing that Spark we need right now and not making a pitch for Olli or at least someone like Feds (again traded for a bag of pucks!!!!!) to give this offense a little kick...... I watched clubs like Colorado, San Jose and Anahiem all get better on "D" , these are all clubs we will see in the playoffs at some time. they beefed up on D because of the DETROIT RED WINGS...... we needed something else offensively to get teams wondering how to play us.....now grant you when our top 4 D men come back we will be harder to defend against, BUt right now we are losing games by one or 2 goals (except that vancouver nightmare) thats tells me that our young D is at least holding the fort.... we have lost 2 of the last 10 1-0 cant Score Id say our d did its job without the top 4 in the line up Holland goes out and gets a Defenseman?????? I dont get that move SO i guess Lilja wont be playing this year in the post season? Fine I thought that could happen with Meech playing the way he has....(By the way .... Nice penalty last night Lilja) THis club RIGHT NOW scares me going in to the post season .... Hudler USELESS........Downey..goon only.......Cleary Missed BIG TIME and we sign McCarty?? Trading for Hossa would be a plus IF you can sign him to a Contract Extention, He has stated he want s to become a FA at seasons end and test the waters, If you cant Sign Hossa long term as part of the deal I would not give up much for him, Realistically that would not happen, Just based on Hossa's value NOW But we shall see
