This doesn't look very accurate to me. From what I can see it doesnt really take into account the types of players you have, its just a strict statistical analysis based on historical numbers for those positions.

Every time I go to a Wings.....er... Coyotes game (I only go to the games when the wings are in town) There are more wings fans than Coyotes fans. We pay $110 for 2 tickets in the corner near the Coyotes goal about 20 rows up. I don't think we're going to make it to any games this year though, If they cut the price of ticktes in half it would help, but honestly Phoenix's big problem is the location of their arena. Its in a city called Glendale, which is about 50 miles west of Phoenix. To get to the games, which start at 7PM you have to brave rush hour traffic, and it can take sometimes up to 2 hours to get out there. The Coyotes should've held out till they could've got an arena in Mesa or Scottsdale. The more affluent parts of town would draw better crowds. In fact I think the 'Yotes would've done better if they would've stayed in the same arena they were in before.

Arizona Wings fan here.. I only go watch the yotes if the wings are in town, but I am happy to see them win too.

To add to this.. from a coaching standpoint: If you have ZDH as the first line, and you decide to cover them with your best shut down line, you still have to worry about the giddyup line with Hoss, Filp, and Mule on it, and we know they can score. So you think Dats and Zetterberg are cold, you switch your shut down line to cover the Giddyup line, seriously, is that smart? We've all seen how explosive Dats and Z can be if you take them for granted. I dare you Pens, believe that Datsyuk and Zetterberg are cold.... Don't take them serious for one game, and see where it gets you.

I'll give you my outlook on this series. I've been predicting this matchup for the cup for along time this year. Well I figured it would either be the Pens or the Bruins... Sorry Bruins. Detroit will win in 5 games. Oh you want to know why? alright. The Penguins are going to have a hard time containing all the Detroit scorers. They have nearly two lines of players that wouldnt even crack our lineup. All four of our lines have been scoring, most of their production can be tracked back to two people (26 of 65 goals scored from two players) From there the offense really drops off fast. In contrast, the redwings are much more spread out, scoring throughout their lines. Defensively, our lines are much better than the Pens. From our forwards to our defenseman Line by line the wings are better, especially if Lidstrom returns. Goaltending - Ozzie is doing great. He'll continue to do well.

I like the photo, but you may want to move the numbers 13 and 81 from the droptanks (since those aren't very deadly) and move them to something more deadly, like perhaps the AMRAAM missiles on the wingtips or the AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles on the outer-most pylon.

Not being a homer here at all either, I have to agree with Slave. IF, and thats a big IF The wings are firing on all cylinders, even the mighty Sharks will not be able to beat them, they are just too skilled, and too deep.

I did a little quick research. Ville Lieno has a .73 Point Per game average, which places him 6th among rookies this year. But he rates 64th in terms of Time on the Ice Per Game. Given a whole season, this guy could really rack up some points, and given some more ice time, think of the possibilities.

I was at the game last night, and I can tell you that it was both. Ty found himself out of position on a couple shots, but it looked like the wings were an AHL team last night, fumbling the puck everywhere, and making terrible turnovers, even Datsyuk didnt look like himself. Hank played a great game, fighting for every last inch, I was also really happy to see Kopecky making good plays, and working hard. The wings looked very tired, they had no energy in their play at all, it was one of the worst wings games I've seen since I became a fan in 94.

I too will be at the game on tuesday, and I hope that Mule is there!
