Sounds like Yzerman may be planning on keeping Blashill after this season per the interview going on now. This is great news! I'm a big Blashill fan and think he can do great things with a better roster. -

What if AA got worse next season playing on another horrid Wings team? You ever heard of "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"? Try to get anything for AA next season if he is down again. Plus wouldn't he be UFA then? The fact that you find it worthwhile to highlight Comrie as an Yzerman "error" is comical and shows how unfair you are being. -

Glad to hear it. Maybe your hope was he would NHL 2020 this thing and have built a contender by the midway point. LOL what in the world was he supposed to do this season with the roster and injuries he has had. -

Problem is you can't sign big name free agents without giving term in most cases. Term is pointless because by the time this team is good, the big name FA will be in decline and overpaid and you'll have another Nielsen on your hands. -

I am most interested to see if anyone shows interest in Bernier and whether Yzerman moves him or not. Playing out the rest of the year with Howard in net is frightening. But Bernier has been really good for us of late. -

I agree about no big name free agents. Sign a bunch of lesser guys on one or two year contracts, hope they play well, and try to flip them at the deadline. -

Not sure if serious? Yzerman has done nothing for this team? What the heck do you expect him to have accomplished by now. Drafting Seider, which early indications are positive, and bring in Fabbri for a bag of pucks are two huge moves.
