did thortons shoulder hit the head? yes. was it blindside? NO. was there an elbow? NO. I think the game misconduct was borderline but probably warranted. But no suspension. and i HATE thorton. But he is probably 4-5 inches taller than perron. perron is a bit hunched over looking for the puck in his skates. thorton doesn't explode into him or anything so i say let whats done be done and leave it alone. I just feel that its getting to the point that when players are leaning over they are untouchable. and that shouldnt be. i.e. kronner on havlat. clean as a whistle.

Not one of the goals he let in tonight can be blamed on anyone but him. even on the breakaway on the blown coverage by kindl, he flopped like a fish before the guy made a move. jesus. at least be in a position to make a stop. ive tried to stick by his side but come on.

if that goes off the toe of his skate i agree, BUT it hit the back half of his skate and the motion of this foot was perpendicular to the direction of the puck. its simple physics, he didnt "kick" it in. how about we just say any puck that hits an offensive players foot and goes directly into the net is no goal. i feel that makes 1000% more sense. jesus. we have to beat Toronto AND San Jose in this series.

not to be insensitive, but why was the stretcher necessary? he was hit in the ear. neck/spine did not seem to be affected in the least. he rolled around on the ice for several moments (leading me to believe he had feeling and or use of his extremities). I'm all for being cautious but a stretcher for a lacerated ear? come on. that being said im glad he is ok.

watching parts of the caps game on nhl on the fly. OVIE got tossed for a "late hit from behind". such a joke. he hit him a step late, YES. from behind? NO. he hit him from the side in the shoulder. im shocked. 5 minute major and a game for boarding. hahahaha. wow. note: the game is 1-0 washington and ovie scored it in the first.
