What? In the regular season you mean. Against the Oilers (who scored 11 ES goals), Lang was on the ice for 7. He doesn't PK, so that's irrelevant. Three goals were Oiler GWG:s.
-
Unfortunately for all his PO points, Lang on the ice means the other team will also score routinely... which sort of cancels out some of his nice post-season performance. This is my problem with him. He does produce, but still not enough to outweigh the fact that he's a defensive liability, which did come back to bite the Wings vs the Oilers.
-
Lang is rapidly deteriorating as a player. Nothing more to it. He'll play off his contract and I don't think Kenny will move to re-sign him.
-
Perhaps he's just done as a performer. Careers don't last forever. Lang might've just reached the bottom of his tank. Not much more left. Doesn't have to be a mystery, really. He's old.

We'll see what happens when babs need to squeeze out additional minutes from our lower chart guys. It might work out, or it'll expose them. And even worse it gives the team less options. We'll essentially have the same defense as last year, with Markov bouncing down Lilja to Kronwall's role. Quincey will probably not play that much. I'd even consider the option of dressing 7 defenseman and 11 skaters for games. I do NOT want Chelios & co having to play above their roles.

Meehan's not Datsyuk's agent... he's got Greenstin (who's just about as greedy/shrewd/obstinate as Meehan)
-
remember that the Ducks can still pass Detroit for the 1st spot.

good game, good result.

Wings playing a very... NA styled game, I got to say.
-
On the Dallas theme, they do have a guy called Barnes too
-
His slapshot in only behind Lidstrom's, and perhaps Schneider's on this team. He almost never uses it though.
-
as soon as our D-men start playing responsible, they get injured.
-
Nah well he started out pretty good but Moen's skills and experience came through.. in the end Lilja was on his knees grabbing Moen around the leg trying to tip him over.
-
The truth is somewhere in between.
-
Amazing effort. So many guys worked their asses off. Can't say that any single player stood out in a negative way. Amazing efforts by our energy players... Filppula, Calder, Cleary, Franzen.. tenacious skating.

Two of the best Wings periods all season. Period. One more to go.
-
lolol Hudler backchecking for a hit.

Awkward comparison... Morrisson is a lot more like a Draper-Filppula style player though.
