gdt WCQF Game 7 GDT - Red Wings 3 @ Ducks 2 - (DET wins series, 4-3)

We have the best coach in the game. I hope he stays for a bit. -
Bert is a big body. I'm sure we will see him soon. I hope he is ready. You know the ducks are going to be playing him rough. I don't know who I'd sit to get him. Going in I don't think you change anything. I think #22 is going to be valuable in this seires. I like our 3rd/4th lines right now.

I was at game 7 in 09 against Pittsburg. I watched hossa every time he was on the ice. His lack of effort in that game to me was inexcusable. I don't care how hurt, sore, you are it's game f@cking 7 of the stanly cup finals!!! You go all out every shift. You leave absolutey everything you have on the ice. He played like a *****. I skate harder in the bulls*** beer league I play in. After that night I never wanted to see him in a Red Wings sweater again, he dosen't deserve it. I don't care how many points he pits up a year or anything. I was glad to see him go What I just typed is crazy, I'm sorry. It's 4:27 am.

We are luckey to have him. He is the best coach in hockey right now.
-
Datsyuk is the best player in the world. You don't trade a guy like him. I don't care when he retires. He must stay a Red Wing for life. And why are we even having this conversation? As I type this despite all that has happend this season, #5 retiring #23 leaving, Homer retiring, injuries, lockout, WE ARE 5TH IN THE WEST!!!!! One point out of 4th. I could not be more inpressed with this club. The management, the coaching, the players have all been amazing. We are by FAR one of the best run teams in all of pro sports. Of corse we need to make some additions and subtractions, all teams do and hind sight is 20/20. But until we start missing the playoffs and are at the bottom the the standings I trust our coaching and managment 100% They have more than earned it.

We are the Detroit Red Wings and we are making the playoffs

You never know how things will work out. You just gotta get in. -
I feel bad for Datsyuk....

I thought it was a good hit. His elbow came up a bit. In no way was is dirty or anything. Not surprised he got 2 for it. Hockey is a rough sport, that's way you ware pads when you play.

2/28 GDT : Red Wings 2 at San Jose Sharks 1 (SO)
crispychris replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Datsyuk must be getting frustrated as hell playing on a line with 8 and 11. You have to give him someone to work with. It feels like we are wasting him..... -
Shame on everyone involved in this lockout. BOO THEISE MEN!!!!!!!!!! We should be watching hockey tonight.
-
This whole thing sucks. HOW CAN THEY LET THIS HAPPEN!?!?!?!?!

Thoes series we played against the avs. Some of the best hockey I've ever seen.

Should Kronwall have to answer the bell for his hits?
crispychris replied to Red Wings Addict's topic in General
As long as it is a clean hit, hell no. One of the first things I was told when playing hockey was "KEEP YOUR HEAD UP". If you got your head down and you get blown up it is on you. No one should have to answer for you not paying attention. -
I could see not letting anyone ware the #91 kinda like a unofficial thing like #16 but hell no to the rafters. How he left was weak and cost him his chance at the rafters. I might be wrong but didn't he take less money to go to the ducks? Either way, all the off the ice stuff, how he left, no way he belongs in the rafters. His #'s and hardware are great but he just should not be up there.

What a great thing for Weber. Regardless of where we think he wanted to play, to be paid that kind of money to do something you love is unbelievable. Good for him. I'm happy for the guy, what a deal.
-
You think they would trade him to a western conference team? I think it is more likely they move him to the east. I don't think many GMs want to work with/help Detroit get better
-
Flyers sign Weber to offer sheet: 14y/$110m ($56m 1st 4yrs)

I would not want to give up 4 first rounders. The draft is the life blood of a hockey club. IF Nashville let's him walk it's their job to make the most of thoes picks. They could trade some of thoes picks as well. If they have drafted well in the past it will help them fill in the holes on their blue line. Although I must say thoes are some BIG shoes to fill. So I guess what I'm saying is I would not give up the draft picks.- 469 replies

Red Wings make "helluva" offer for Nash, no response
crispychris replied to stevkrause's topic in General
Not many GMs in the west are going to work with us. I wonder if the ducks GM would ship Ryan to a club in the west? -
The caps must know something we don't. Risky move to say the least. I hope he is well and can play up to that contract.
-
The off season is no ware near over, we have yet to play a game in the '12-'13 season and some of us want to can the best GM in sports. We are going to do well. This is the Detroit Red Wings for gods sakes.
-
You know what? I like the situation we are in, here is why. We are going to find out just how good we are. How good of a GM is Ken? Were going to find out. How good are all of our prospects? Lots of young guys are going to get a real chance to play this year. Our true depth will be exposed this year, good or bad. How good of a coach do we have? Babcock is going to have to coach his ass of this year. How big time are Datsyuk, Z, and the mule? Thoes guys must have monster years. Can they do it? We are going to find out. I f@cking pumped to find out. I think this is exactly what this club needs, a chance to prove them selves. This is great motivation, something we have been lacking. The Red Wings are going to see just how good they are and I feel good about it.

Well, here is my 3 inches. We have consistently won under holland. When we start to consistently lose under him I'll start to call for his head.

Good for you #26!!!! That's great money. Thanks for the time you spent in Detroit. Best of luck with the flames. He will always be part of that 2008 Cup team.
