Forgive me if I don't really know what I'm talking about here, because I don't know a lot about hockey before the late 90's. But would you consider Mario Lemieux in this list, or maybe top ten. I know the guy held onto the game a little too long but wasn't he the captain when the pens won back to back cups, also wasn't he the captain of the 2002 Canadian gold medal team? (I don't put a lot of stock in that, but it says something about his leadership) I know he's considered as one of the best all time players, but was he a good leader?

I like the part where he says "it's a nice test to see how we hold up against (Pavel) Datsyuk and (Henrik) Zetterberg and penetrate the best defense in the League." Nice to see that someone thinks our D is good.

I almost forgot Mo was apart of this team. I hope he comes back strong, would hate to see his career fizzle out in this fashion

ESPN.com I loved the series and I think its great for the NHL. But would you want to see the Wings in one of these series? I think It would be really cool to see our Wings behind the scenes but, then again do you think it would be distracting? Some Caps alluded that the HBO crews made it harder for them to get out of their losing streak, sounds more like and excuse. I'm for more 24/7 but not sure how it would affect the Wings.

I loved it, HBO did an amazing job it made me actually like 2 of my least favorite teams. I have always like Bylsma, but I didn't realize how cool he is. Cant wait for the next one.

Calm down. Its a cool commercial the only reason people aren't talking about the cool idea of it, real or not, is because Crosby is in it. You hate Crosby because he's a tool and he plays for the penguins, we get it. I don't like him either, but to call him a piece of s*** is ridiculous. He is just playing his game, and if reebok wants to pay him millions of dollars to shoot a puck around and then digitally make the net move to sell their products has nothing to do with you. The hatred and jealousy for Crosby around here is EMBARRASSING to yourselves and to the Red Wings fans, who we are representing on this forum.

Gary Thorne is one of the best hockey commentators ever IMO. I miss games with him, he brought a ton of passion to the game, and his voice is awesome.

I'm not sure how I feel about the challenge idea. I really liked the yellow line behind the red goal line that was the exact width of the puck, so if the puck touched the yellow line at all it would be a goal. That seems like a really good idea.

The suspension is fine. He swung at Neilsons face with his stick. That is bulls*** and suspendible in any era of the game, don't try to justify that.

Yea, but think about this.. The East is lazy and they suck, BUT if the Wings went east, would it then make the East want to work harder to beat the Wings? Thusly making the East a much more competitive conference, it could be good for the eastern conference and hockey is what I'm saying. Far fetched i know..
