Brendan Smith is a Completely different player in the playoffs, and it's amazing.

Z has to tell them they can't be gripping their sticks so much. They haven't looked like they have had fun in awhile. He's gotta remind then go have fun, compete, skate, and have some confidence!!!

wow. just watched the game !! i was so frustrated and annoyed up until the last five minutes when captain Z stepped up and scored the beauty. Wow. Z's goal was the type only a captain, a game winner and a goal scorer do. Such determination. Wonderful to see. And then he added two more assists and the wings win it in overtime.

One thing that I HATE about this team is how they are unable to enter the zone in powerplay. WTF? we saw it last year in the playoffs against boston and the exact same problem is still hurting this team. Wings is one of the worst teams in the league in PP.... Come on! At least dats is back now. He will only get better and better as he finds his stride and form again.

I was really tempted to go with Nyquist (duh) or Zetterberg (duh). But, ultimately, it has to be Kronwall. I don't see how it could be anyone else. He plays the most minutes. He gets the toughest assignments. He's used in all situations. He's first or second on the team in points while being far and away our best, most valuable defenseman and the reason our blue line isn't among the worst in the league. He became The Leader in Z's absence. He only missed a few games. He's adjusted and elevated his game. Through all the ups and downs and injuries and changes, he's been the one great constant.

Because out of everyone, Franzen is the guy that needs the most rest. On a serious note though, maybe Franzen getting a mental health day, helps him relax.

Yzerman especially. Diving just was rare back in the day. But even late in his career I don't remember Stevie diving. Certainly nowhere near enough to be likened to Crosby and Ovie.
I'm guessing maybe Z has a few times to try and draw a penalty. But still, we're talking about repeat offenders here. He still doesn't belong in the same group as captains like Crosby, Ovechkin, Brown, and Sedin.

I love Howard and what he has done this season but... I think this is the year Lundqvist finally wins the vezina and rightfully so. After watching the Buffalo - Rangers game tonight I'm still in ave of his performance. His second shutout in two games and his sixth shutout this season.

He is having an amazing season, his best of his career i think. I love to watch him play and I would like to see him win this season.

Brunnstrom: Pretty much solidified a spot on the Wings (unfortunate for Mursak.)
Hudler: Now even more expendable and if he doesn't play to his "potential" will be traded or not be re-signed. He WILL be a healthy scratch more times than twice on Sunday, guarantee.

White was harped on a constant basis in my area of the country... Oh thats right NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
Hes far from stellar. Like any player he has his moments. Ericcson had his and depending on which article you read hes the best thing since sliced bread. I know better. Our team is literally grabbing up the table scraps after everyone feasted on the good Dmen.
Holland is picking up anyone he can to fill out the roster. Granted a few will be traded off during or after training camp but the fact we havent locked down anyone of signifigance is plain worrying.
The diamond in the rough thing isnt gonna get us a cup this year or next year for that matter. Hell there arent even plans of playing Jurco for at least 2-3 years at the very earliest. That is mind boggling. Maybe thats why we are so streaky in our year to year play, its Hollands decision to actually put some fresh players in. This over ripe thing has me banging my head against ever door, wall and post I can see.
Im praying we have a decent chance next year, cause on paper we are lookin g like half Red Wings half The Replacements.
We havent bolstered our D at all, in fact with our losses we are worse off than last year.

Loving this. Did you guys see Jagr in the WHC? He was one of the best forwards in the whole tournament. He proved that he can still be a superstar player. Some of the plays he made there was absolutely dirty. It was only a couple of months ago. If he has motivation for another cup and works his ass of this offseason, i believe it would be wonderful news for the wings.
I understand those of you who dont like this to happen but I believe in Jagr if he would come here. I believe he would make a great impact, especially in the playoffs. He will draw alot of attention, both from media and from opposing players which gives some extra breathing room for our other star players.
I expect som inconsistency for him but his hot streaks would be well worth it IMO. He showed in the WHC that his roof is still very high. I also believe in Babcock and that he will make sure that lazy play is not accepted here and consistency and hard work means everything.

Forsberg has never retired, he wants to play. He goes through alot with surgeries and rehab every year just to be able to play hockey again. What exactly is wrong with? The guy loves to play hockey and believes that he still have what it takes to play in the big league. Why wouldnt he follow his love and passion to make it happen? Who are you to tell him to stop pursuing his dream of playing in the nhl again?
