  1. I wear EITHER - ELLIS, BOOTLAND,HELMER,MCDONNEL, KOPECKY, LAMOTHE, or OSGOOD
  2. I sit in Row A - Section 109, and the entire ROW B was empty tonight - you should be able to get a seat in any section you'd like - If you haven't been to a GRIFFIN game as of yet - try it, you'll like it!
  3. HOW TRUE - SINCE HIS RETURN, (IN THE PLAYOFFS), BRETT IS A MINUS 3 - NOT WHAT YOU WOULD'VE EXPECTED FROM A RW, RIGHT? THEY BOTH NEED TO PICK IT UP A NOTCH TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. WHAT WOULD REALLY BE GREAT IS IF THE GRIFFINS ORGANIZATION ( DAN DEVOS) IN PARTICULAR, WOULD GET SOME SORT OF RADIO THING GOING TODAY WHERE PEOPLE COULD GET TICKETS BY CALLING IN - WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO HAVE 6,000 - 7,000 PEOPLE THERE TONIGHT - (REAL FANS OR NOT)! WE'RE GOING TO NEED THE NOISE!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GO GRIFFS!!!!!!!!!!!! END IT IN SIX
  5. GOOD POINT! Look at the Walker Arena - (home of the Muskegon Fury) - that town is WILD over the Fury, the arena is half the size of the Van, and they rarely sell-out - and there are lots of seats, (especially the ones close to the glass that are TERRIBLE!!
  6. Dave - what a fiasco huh? I spoke at length with the marketing guy, (Lance Hartman) - he really thinks this promo went well - Did you know they disqualified the person, (a ten year old girl), who had the most votes? I think Bruce Jackson? won. (Can you believe the way these people kept voting for themselves, and had lots of otheres doing the same). A loooong and very disjointed story about the whole matter but really, WHO CARES!! GO GRIFFINS! (That's what's important here)!
  7. It'll be GRIFFS in SEVEN IF their defense stays together, and they can get some good scoring chances in FRONT of the net!!
  8. Sure wasn't a ful house tonight either, but BETTER! Still not what it should be - but unless you are a true GRIFIN fan, there are lots of other things going on right now - it's the true fans who are there now -
  9. Dave - I voted for you - I'm the candidate for November - Jack LaMothe It sure looks like this is being won by someone who has the ability to "register" lots of duplicate votes - ya think? Jack
  10. Way to go RW's - with the season that Donald has had for us, (GRIFFINS), this year, he deserved this call up. Here's to a couple goals tonight, and maybe one or two onThursday in Chicago - (I'll be at that game)!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! PS Just be back in GR on the 21st -
  11. scores his FIRST AHL point tonight vs. SYRACUSE CRUNCH
  12. So true!!! It's too bad that NO ONE on the RW's can, (or will) fight in response to something like that being laid on their STAR!!
  13. According to the chart the griffins rank 9th in the league at only 6000 people a game approx. So its bad attendance around the UHL all around? You would qualify 6000 as bad attendance for minor league hockey? Considering that's double the SELLOUT CAPACITY of many UHL arenas, I'd say that's a pretty solid number for minor league hockey. The worst team for attendance in the AHL gets better than 3000 per game. Many UHL teams have to sell out to clear 3000. Of ten UHL teams, 8 are at 3774 average or lower this season. Only five of twenty-seven AHL teams fall below that mark, while Fort Wayne, a former IHL team, is one of only two UHL teams above the AHL average of 5357, the other being Quad City, averaging 5479, less than 50% capacity of their 12000 seat arena. Another former IHL team, Kalamazoo, averages just over 2000 per game, about 40% capacity, and have the second-worst attendance figures of ANY professional team in the US or Canada. The worst figures belong to their in-state rival, the Port Huron Border Cats, also of the UHL. couldn't ahve said it ANY better - THANKS for the clarification!!
  14. Here we go again - comparing the IHL, UHL, and whatever, to the AHL - it's funny because there is NO comparison to the level of play in any of these leagues - with the AHL. If anyone thinks there is, THEY ARE WRONG!!!! and, it HAS to be because they must not have an AHL franchise in their area - so you HAVE to make it sound like you watch hockey at a competitive level - NOT!! The UHL is SLOW, skating skills lacking, and, the league is much more dependent on goons - MOST of the players will NEVER be able to play consistently at any level above where they are - What's it like in your world?
  15. Jimmy is playing VERY GOOD right now - I think he's feeling more confortable, and, he's moving side to side well. His performance in the shootout the other night was phenomenal!! I'd bet that next season he is on the RW's as back-up goalie. Drew needs to be in GR NOW!!! Joey is going to be dealing with his "bad back" again - hope he gets better, but we can't be using a goalie who isn't 100% going into the playoffs -
